Hmm... not sure if this is the right place for this or if there is already a thread on this, if so sorry.
Just wanna know what sports you guys/girls play and like.
I play Rugby for my school and do Athletics for them as well, 800M and Javelin all the way.
Most of all though I love football, I play with my mates but I'm no where near good enough for the school team or any other team for that matter.
I have a season ticket at the Madejski Stadium home of the mighty Reading FC and have done for the past 5 seasons. Reading are currently in the Premiership (for the first time int heir history) and are 7th I believe, 3 points off the top.
Today we play last season's champions Chelsea at home which will be hard but we got a 1-1 draw with Man United the other week so that fills me with confidence.
Get talking.

I would usually prefer to run and work out to playing competitive sport. Although I did go through a stage of playing lacross, which was pretty damn fun. But I'm generally too unco-oridinated for competitive sports and the like. ;)

Myself, I'm not a huge fan of sports in general. I used to bowl in a league, and if I had more time, I might try taking up tennis again (i took summer lessons through my city's rec. dept. a while back).
What sports do I currently play? None.
Tech theatre all the way! *woot*

I'm with Dave, I usually just like to run or excersise by myself instead of doing something actually competitive. I did try football and baseball my freshman year of high school but that wasn't really for me...although ultimate frisbee can be pretty fun.
Though when all else fails, theatre's the way to go.

Have done a lot of distance running and triathlon in the past.
Find it hard to put in as much time these days (+ am older and slower!) so am not so competitive, but still like to do something (be it swim, gym, run, whatever) about 5 days a week. I just prefer to feel reasonably fit.:)

Well this might be midly to extremely disturbing but i could never play any sports because of the main reason that id just be focusing on a different set of balls.
Sorry, had to say it, couldn't resist. But on a more serious note. Im not a competative person, im kinda one of those "everyone wins" people and just feel sports to be pointless (other than the physical activity being benificial to good health). I prefer recreational sports, and even then im not the most fit person and have HUGE body image issues so if i do play, its with people of my own skill and only those who im good friends with and feel comfortable in sweats around.
Lastly, if i did play sports, itd be on a co-ed or female based team cuz i dont get along with most other guys and they prove to be a distration lol.

did you say...RENT?!?!?!? YAY!!! I LOVE Rent!! I'm SUCH a theatre geek!!
But yes, only the really cool people do theatre. Sports are for squares. Though my resentment for competitive sports probably stems from the fact that I could never do any of them.

ech, Rent. Amazing show, but it's been over-sung by every kid at my school. :sigh: Oh those straight kids and their musical theater. jk :). I <3 straighties. (Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe i just coined a new phrase {straighties}. Or maybe I RE-coined an old phrase. I have had too much caffeine today.)
Same with me, suburbs. Natural lack of athleticism, coordination, and teamsmanship has lead me to believe that sports just aren't my thing.

Altho I prefer the term 'hetros'.
My friend calls me a homo (affectionately) so I tend to call him a hetro back :)

I haven't seen Rent yet, but I plan to in April. There's this guy in my class who's obsessed -- OBSESSED -- w/ that show and organized a bunch of us to go see it when it comes to our local venue.
I'm more athletic than I am theatrical, but that's just relatively speaking, as I'm not really much of either. I was Leonato in my high school's production of Much Ado About Nothing, and I sucked. Hard. I play tennis and used to swim when I was a kid.
tired, I think it's so cool that you figure skate! I love watching it on TV and have long wanted to take lessons.

I'm definately going to start saying "hetros".
It sounds cute when you say it out loud.
If you have the opportunity to see RENT, it is soooo worth it.

Sorry.
But it's great to know that there are some gay guys who are into sports and that not everyone fits the stereotype.

Not only that, but that we have these types of people here, on EC. Different perspectives are always a plus. ;)

During my orientation week here at school, we got to play a game of dodgeball to "build teamwork" and just have a little fun. I always liked playing dodgeball, and I thought to myself, "Hey, this is a good chance for me to show my new classmates that I'm no push-over; I'm aggressive, I'm fearless, I'm tough..." So I got all into it and stuff. This one girl, who's actually a pretty good pal of mine now, told me later that, because of how I nailed her hard w/ a ball once, she thought I was "this super-aggressive-guy type... until I heard you talk. Then I kind of knew you were gay."
LOL. Ouch.

Yeah, balance is quite tough. It's the main thing I'm trying to work on, right now. I try to make sure I don't act too gay, and I ultimately end up acting completely straight...

Despite the fact that I don't look it, I'm actually very athletic.
I competitively swim, I play water polo, and I run cross country.
But I definitely don't fit the athletic stereotype AT ALL, in fact most people are surprised when I tell them. REALLY surprised.

i play soccer, love playing it but not watching it. I think i play it well bec my playmates often say that i am fast and flexible. I usually play defense. I don't like to play striker at all. Maybe that's bec im gay
I hate jogging the most because i always have pain in my hips after only 3 laps and it's boring too. However, i still do jogging regularly to maintain my flexibility.

I do yoga, oh wait, that’s not a sport. I'm pretty flexible for a fat guy  jk
I play billiards though, and I know that counts... I could have gone pro, but I broke a hip two years ago (16yo) and haven’t gotten my game back to where it was.
You can call me the general on a battlefield of slate :icon_wink

I was member of track and field when I was 10 till 12 and actually pretty good at it.
And After quiting that I joined to a dodgeball club which I was totally suck at it and I also joined to inline skate club and it was so much fun!!!!!...though I got pretty bad injury often which freaked out my mum quite bit.
And at age 13 I begin to play badminton...yeah...badminton. But it's not like what we did when we are 6 or 7. Badminton is a one of Olympic official game and what we do is more like that. It was really fun!!!
You can get an idea what it is like :

And for now, I play only golf due to my hectic days I can barely go to practice:bang: Tho I usually practice at my home so that's not a problem actually:tongue:
