Hi there,
In the FAQ it gives locations for RSS feeds for the forum but they don't seem to work. Any tips?

Well it says "The administrator may have enabled RSS syndication, this allows you to view newly created threads in guest viewable forums without visiting the board." so I would guess that it hsn't been enabled. I don't know though, as I have never heard of RSS before seeing your post.
The FAQ would be the generic one for the forum software so probably contains stuff on a number of features that are not used here.

Okay, sorry, missed that. So can the RSS feeds be enabled?
(You've never heard of RSS? It's somewhat newish and even though I'm officially a techie, I haven't used it much yet, but I thought it was making its way into the mainstream in terms of people knowing about it.)

So can the RSS feeds be enabled?
I have asked the site owners and will let you know when I get a reply.

cool, thanks! this is something i was also trying to figure out. Its a nice thing when you're just doing stuff on the computer to get a message saying there's another new post.

Hi guys,
I have installed RssReader (from here http://www.rssreader.com/). It seems to detect and inform me of new threads OK, but not of replies to existing threads. Is that a limit of the RSS system, or an I doing something wrong?
Thanks!
Paul.

From what I can tell, this is the intended behaviour. Yet another limitation of vBulletin that you would think wouldn't be there.
The best you can do for reply notification (that I've found) is to subscribe to the threads you're interested in and set your notification to instant. You can also, in your "My Settings" area, set yourself to auto-subscribe to any threads you reply to.
