So I was born in the UK, but I don't understand why people are patriotic and stuff, I don't like England (where I had to grow up) at all.

Does anyone else feel the same way?

I don't really care for the United States. I live here because I was born here but that doesn't mean I have to support them. I don't agree with a lot of what's going on, but then again that's how it is with most countries isn't it?

I like the geographical 'country' I'm born in.
But I feel no particular attachment to the Dutch nationality or culture.
I'd sooner consider myself a European or an earthling, than a Dutch person.

tl;dr, I feel the same way.

I think nobody likes the country they're living in when they see too many bullshits happening.

oh you, human race, what the hell?

Absolutely yes! The chauvinism displayed during the Olympics last year had me bitching about England nonstop for four months! Countries are completely arbitrary segments of land, separated off for nothing more than political convenience, and with borders defined by centuries of war and inferiority complexes. Everybody's human, why should I feel closer to people who happen to have been born within a few dozens of miles of me than people born on the other side of the world, and why should I feel that my nationality makes me special in some way? I wouldn't go so far as to say that I don't like England, I'm just completely indifferent to it and I dislike the majority of English people's attitudes towards this topic. Proud to be a cosmopolitan!

I just think England is a wet miserable place, run by idiots, and the UK has been responsible for so much evil in the world .

Look at St George's day, its full of fat middle aged EDL "Patriots" who go and blame anyone who isn't while, English and straight for all the country's problems.

Don't get me started on the anthems

I'm not patriotic. I don't hate Canada. I think it's a pretty nice place to live in, but I have no particular attachment to it.

Definitely. I'm not terribly proud to be an American.

The rich ruling classes looking down on the working class & keeping them suppressed, a Monarchy that believes themselves to be superior human beings, corrupt politicians dipping into the public purse, giving themselves £10,000 pay rises whilst people are struggling to live, other than that whats wrong with the UK & don't get me started on the Irish Famine

Yeah. I was born here. Blind support is no obligation. I've grown disillusioned with a country quick to kick anyone besides cis white men in the teeth.9

I'm very unpatriotic. Certainly, there's some nice things about the place I live, but as a nation, I think the US is pushy, gluttonous, overly self-righteous, hypocritical, sexually repressed, prudish, callous in regards to the poor and those in need, and a place in which the gap between rich and poor is widening faster than any other nation, as opportunity slips farther and farther away, and into the hand of the elite.

I know... you just seemed to suggest that you weren't patriotic, and that seems like a contradiction to me.

I am quite proud to be British, English, and a Londoner. As someone who is only descended from immigrants (My mothers parents and my dad were both immigrants from three different corners of the world), and as a mixed race person, myself and my family have constantly been told that we don't belong in this country, and that it isn't ours. Calling myself British, or English, or a Londoner, is a way of fighting that to me.
