After all the negativity that's been floating around about this, that and whatever, I thought that this was a good idea for a topic. So, what's your favourite thing about the LGBT community?

Mine is that it gives me a place where I feel like less of a freak than normal.

this is a good idea for a thread

i like how how varied and diverse it all is, for a community, the only major commonality i can think of is that we're all unique, and that's what makes us the same

I've only been here for a day but i would say the best thing is that we are not judged here, we are free to talk about anything and i think it is what most people want : someone to talk to, someone who understands them.

I like nothing. I hate everyone :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: just kidding, what I love about the LGBTQ community and how much accepting everyone is despite put differences because we are all united through one thing we all have in common. Also I like how my phone detects that I'm typing LGBT and changes it to LGBTQ

Because it's the one community where I can feel normal and the questions asked aren't "ooh, how do you have sex?" "how do you use the bathroom?" but concern my tastes in literature, social issues, and normal conversation.

That and I take satisfaction in the overall diversity of the LGBTQ community- different backgrounds, identities all mixed together in the great rainbow hodgepodge.

My favourite thing is that I don't feel like an outsider and that here it's completely normal to like the same sex.

The amazing support network and knowledge that you won't be judged, and the opportunity to befriend people with similar interests.

As others have mentioned, I like that we are united by our difference, both from that arbitrary datapoint of normal, and from eachother. I also like that it gives us an identity not dependent on our race, assigned gender or country. And that its largely socialist.

Its niches. They can be extremely difficult to find, but finding them is so rewarding.

    Survival.

We inspire one another to keep stepping forward, even if we berate each other along the way from time to time like the goofy family we are/try to be.

My favorite thing is the parades even though I've never been to one. I plan on going though. I really want to! Watching them on YouTube is only make me want to go even more.

The 'Q' means queer. The full version of the acronym, last I heard was LGBTQQAIP. IMO, we need something better.
