Do you like tofu? I never used to, but now I love it. In soups, stir-fries, curries, deep-fried...yum! Plus, Beast Boy likes tofu, so now it's cool.

It's pretty meh, IMO. I'll eat it if it's as a part of a dish, but I wouldn't voluntarily choose it as my first choice. If I was making a vegetarian dish I'd probably just cook without it too.

I love tofu! If you cook it right, you can make it taste pretty much like anything.

Last summer in Japan, during the conference, we went to a tofu restaurant: 16 different tofu dishes.
Fortunately I'd already had tofu before that so I knew I didn't want to eat that.
Also fortunate that the nice hostess made a seperate dish of noodles for me.

Plus, it's inexpensive. At the Asian market, I can buy a pound for between 79 cents to $1.

Beast Boy is the shit! (!) Man, I miss Teen Titans so much now. To the Youtube!

I like tofu pretty well, but I don't eat it much. I like it pretty firm. I've had some really squishy, moist tofu before, and I didn't like it. Are you a vegetarian?

No, but I try to limit meat, and eat it only a few times a week.

I also like firmer tofu better. Though in Miso soup, I like to use a softer variety.

Maybe when I become dictator and ruler of the world, I'll make everyone eat tofu, or banish them to Siberia

Fine by me. Also, Miso is good. I've only ever had the red though.

I eat it because Mom makes it for my vegetarian brother, but I dislike it. One plus of his going to uni will be that I won't have to have it any more, woo!

I've never tried it. It would be neat to try it once, though.

  13. Tofu plays an integral role in Chinese, Korean, and Japanese cuisine. I eat tofu about once a week. It's pretty good when you have flavorful stuff being cooked with the tofu since tofu is very tasteless. I like it because of the smooth feel in your mouth when you chew it and also, it's pretty healthy. There's a recipe for tofu ice cream LOL

I eat it as spicy tofu soup, fried, stewed, and with noodles

I can't eat that stuff without gagging. The texture's just... :eusa_sick

But I've used it in a recipe for vegetarian meatballs in the past and it was alright, but that's probably the only exception.

I'm afraid it's not my favourite food in the world... (I feel like an awful vegetarian right now.)

Exactly this. I've had it normally a couple of times and did not like the texture at all, but when I had it marinated it was really nice.

My mom has a recipe where she'll cube up some tofu and add it to stir fry vegetables. I will admit it's not bad. Although I'll always view tofu as ersatz meat, and to me, meat has no substitute.

Meh. It's fine. I'm okay with it being used in different recipes and dishes, but when it comes down to it, I would always choose a bloody rare steak over a squigy..white...vegetable-thing.
