Everytime I go on a web page "gay" related I see the same bs. "Homosexuality is unnatural" which is btw the most retard agrument ever as it's both unrevelant and wrong. Or "Adam or eve not Adam and Steve" which is stupid as science has shown that there was never an Adam of eve. And even if there was so what. And there the civil ones. Some are just hate filled. It makes me lose faith with humanity. What do you guys think?
I hate websites like that. It makes me lose faith in humanity. Who cares about what they think they should either accept us or leave us alone.
Reading comments will make you lose faith in humanity, regardless of subject. I don't suggest it, unless the comments are just too hilarious.
I grew up in an environment believing that, so I just ignore it. They have a right to their own opinions and I don't need to read the comments.
Anti-yaoi and anti-yuri hate annoys me the most. "I'm not homophobic or anything, I just don't like yaoi/yuri, it's so disgusting!!11!!" No. Shut up.
The funny thing about this in my experience, is that sometimes if you go onto some sort of "anti-gay" page a lot of the comments are sticking up for homosexual people. I guess some people just like to be awkward.
First I would suggest not to read that BS On a personal note I start to wonder if some commenters are just saying what they say to be edgy or is it that the anonimity if the net makes it easier for bigots to come out with their hate. Maybe a mix of both Foxface
I've just learned to ignore it with time. I've argued with some homophobic people in the comments sections, but for the most part, I just ignore them now.
They ruin my day. And I often feel compelled to read them. I'm still working on accepting myself, so sometimes they can be a punch in the face. I try to ignore them as best as I can.
It's sad, but you don't have to comment. You don't have to read them, either. So try to not get involved, especially on Facebook, where it becomes personal.
A lot of it is actually non-canon (KennyxButters), and some of that is even against what is canon (Piccoloxanybody, NappaxVegeta). Actually, that applies more to shipping in general, but that's usually why someone would be against yaoi/yuri. I'm not saying I don't love yaoi.. Because I've got the entire box set of Gravitation DVDs right behind me, plus I'm a fan of a yaoi webcomic. As for yuri? It's just not exactly the kind of stuff for me. I can see the hype in it, since I'm a yaoi fan. It's just.. the other way around, really.
