I remember several years ago, I almost got outed. I was probably 12 or 13. At the time I was in my room with my brother, my friend Josh, and someone else who I don't remember. Josh wanted to use my computer for some reason, probably to pull up a video on youtube or something. He opened my internet, and I had left a search for "Gay Porn" on my computer. Not the whole page, but it was still in my search bar. Josh noticed and called me out on it, being a kid and all. I denied it vehemently while my brother and the other person were laughing their asses off. I had no idea what to do or say; I simply was not ready to come out. Josh noticed this pretty fast, and took responsibility, saying he wrote that into the search bar as a joke. He kept me from getting outed years before I was ready, and it occurred to me just now that I never thanked him for that. Before I never see him again, I really out to do that. Anyways, I guess there isn't a point to this thread but I just wanted to say that.
 I have nearly outed myself in conversation by saying things that imply I like guys, or at least I think that my friends have picked up on it. One certainly has, he already knows.
I wish I had a friend like Josh. Yeah, EC probably outted me to my parents. Stupid open windows.... Don't worry. It happens to the best of us.
Josh sounds like an awesome friend for sure. I kind of outed myself to my father... We where in the car and he asked why I never chased girls or anything, and then he went on this rant about how he hopes and prays I'm not gay. So he would not leave me alone and he kept asking me so I simply told him "I guess in your case I am asexual." :icon_razz He has not said a single thing about it since... I think he thought I was joking, or at least that is how he played it off. I'm just glad I didn't get kicked out or disowned...
It's friends like Josh who you should value as he sounds a true frind. When the time is right and you feel that you want to fully come out about your sexuality, is the time that you feel confident with yourself and the people around you and it's friends like you have that give you the support and courage that is needed
Your friend is awesome! It sounds like you were both very calm and quick-thinking about the situation, I would have begun to panic instantly!
Cool story. Sounds like you have a friend who respected your boundaries and your space at that point in time.
YOu sound like you have an awesome friend. Just 2 days ago, my brother saw a quick link tab to EC and was about to click on it before I rushed over and pushed his hand away. Good thing he couldn'ts eee what EC stood for. And on at least 2 occasions I've seen him checking my history, and I could tell that if he went any further he might find.....links to certain...things.
