How do you defeat boredom

i search netflix until i find something interesting or i just find someone who feels like hanging out. i can't stand sitting around when i'm full of energy.

 

music always helps me. play a couple songs and next thing you know 3hrs have passed by. especially when combined with a good book..

 

Find things to do, or make things to do. Chores, window shopping, TV Tropes, reading, day dreaming... making plans with friends, exercise, cooking...

In my personal experience, boredom is a sign that I'm being lazy and need to find something interesting to do without expecting others to entertain me.

Okay well I play paid-for games but there's a site I used to use that has a load of fun free and no download games Games - Free Online Games at Addicting Games! I personally loved a couple strategy games on that site

Do some writing, do some photoshop/3d modeling, mash the refresh button on EC, these are all things I do for boredom. If I have the luxury of being bored, it means I need to do something at least a little productive. There's plenty.

 

might get me kicked of EC for life hear but sometimes just sometimes I log onto EC am sorry guys

 

My battle with random boredom is yet ongoing. I will let you know as soon as I find a way to vanquish this incredibly difficult foe.

I try to do chores, but most of my time is spent watching anime and playing video-games on my day's off. I get stuff done, just not everything. It'll get done before it needs to be done, it just wont get done that day.

get an instrument. not necessarily a musical instrument, just an instrument of creation. camera. video camera. pencil and paper. paint. piano. whatever!

 

I daydream, or I try to puzzle out some sort of idea. I have a very good imagination, and I'm very intellectually curious (what psychologists call 'high need for cognition'), so I get a lot of enjoyment out of my own thoughts.

But none of that helps me when I'm forced to do a boring, effortful mental activity, such as doing math problems.

 

Full course loads tend to help.

 

I browse the fine content here on EC, of course! :lol:

I hate stuff like Facebook, so I come here instead.

I also Google random things that I think about and look at pictures of them or read about them.
