This isn't as deep and serious as it seems. Forgetting life, liberty, friends, family, etc., just think about the material items you own. What is that one thing that you really just love and wouldn't want to let go?

Mine is my boat. I have a small pontoon boat. I keep it at my dock so it's ready to go at all times. I just love being out on the water with friends. If something happened to it, I'd be crushed. :tears:

Probably my laptop, just because having computer (and Internet) access is so unbelievably powerful in modern society.

Barring that, my camera. I love my Canon Rebel more than I think I've really "loved" any material item.

My computer. I've spent most of every day I could on my computers since I was a toddler. It's my most prized possession.

Car probably. Whenever I get sad, I go for a drive to make myself feel better so I can be alone in my thoughts

My laptop. Other than my car, it's the only thing I use on a consistent basis. If I didn't have a laptop, I would get anything done, whereas if I didn't have my car, I could just live somewhere I didn't need it!

My phone and laptop. All my writing's saved on both and there's the internet which is, of course, only place I can be a man.

I mean Im sure you could go through my things and pick out my laptop or furniture or tv or something and note that it has the greatest monetary value of the things I own. I think the point of this question is to get at a thing with sentimental value.

On that note, #1 is definitely my teddy bear. My grandparents got it for me in 1995 shortly before the first of my two brothers was born so I wouldn't feel overlooked by the new baby. I've had it through thick and thin ever since.

Second most sentimental would be the paddle given to me by my littles in my college fraternity. They are incredible people.

My iPod. I can't live without my music.

Also, my first and original copy of The Catcher in the Rye. That book is my favorite and means a lot to me, and the story of how I came upon the book and that specific copy of the book is special to me. Even if someone offered me a million dollars to buy that copy off of me, I'd refuse.

My laptop but mostly my car. My laptop because it keeps me connected to the outside world and my car because... well, because it's an amazing car. It's 19 years old but it's the top of the range model and it's becoming more and more rare by the day. So no, I will never part with it.

Was just about to say this. Without music I'm not sure life would even be worth living.

Ditto. I couldn't make it through life without my music. It's been the only thing that's gotten me through hell and back.

My car, for sure. There are other items I'm quite fond of (my trusty iPhone springs to mind) but nothing compares to my car. It's been the best first car I could've ever asked for, and I've had a lot of memories made in it, and a lot of good times with it. Honestly, I don't think I'll ever be able to part with it. I'm too damn attached.

Definitely the $900 laptop I bought a month ago. It's the most expensive thing I own. But it's so damn nice, it'll still be considered good in 10 years.
