so me & mark have been going out for a month 'well just over ' anyhow yesterday we took advantage of the summer weather in the uk so we decided to have a picnic down by the lake it was just a spur of the moment thing and we both brought some cold food like sandwiches, sausage rolls, ikkle pork pies and some wine am not a big wine fan but it was alright chilled . anyway I mentioned this to a work mate Sam and she seems to think it`s not manly enough maybe its Jealousy IDK .
Then she's sexist. Don't listen to her. You had a romantic picnic, and I hope you enjoyed it. What matters is if you liked it, not what society demands is manly or not. What's unmanly about taking care of your boyfriend well?
She's jealous. Ask her the last time she had a romantic picnic with someone. Anyway, what would be considered a manly date? Rolling around together in the mud with chainsaws?
I would have told her, "Well I realize that's your opinion, but fuck you very much. We had a great time."
That was very romantic, and sweet. You and Mark should be able to realize that yourselves - after all, you're the ones who had the romantic experience. Maybe it didn't seem like it because it was a spur of the moment thing like you said, but then again, from another perspective that makes it even more romantic!
This is a normal reaction from Sam she`s a good mate honest . I know the guy she`s engaged to even had a crush on him when I started working he's fit as fuck.:icon_redf
I think what you done was fantastic a pure gentleman, and showed you cared which is such a lovely thing to do. Ignore ignorant people like your work colleague, and carry on concentrating on your wonderful nature. It's very romantic what you did, being manly has nothing to do with it, so thumbs up to you and I hope things continue to work out for you.
sam`s alright gav she's one of them people who will open her gob before thinking she has a heart of gold. I doubt am romantic at heart next time will probably be local chippy but as they say its the thought counts .
Whats Romantically Manly in her books then, 2 Pints of Lager & a Packet of Crisps down at the Red Lion, followed by a game of Darts :roflmao:
Sam`s fella Alan is more into sports than me Rugby & football so he is a big lad . I feel sorry for him because she'll be moaning to him lucky cow:roflmao:
Hm. First off, congrats on a fun picnic. As long as the two of you had fun, that's all that matters. I'm not sure what 'manly' is supposed to mean and generally don't worry about it. Neither should you Todd
