Just a couple nights ago, I had a crazy dream. It was the end of the world. It seemed so real and I thought it was real and it was so scary and somehow, I was those few people in the world that survived. Does anybody else ever get very crazy and realistic dreams?
Rarely. And even when I get vivid, realistic dreams there's always an absurdist element to them. Which I suppose, considering they're dreams, shouldn't be surprising... Actually had a dream the other day (which I enlisted Foxface to interpret, much thanks to him) where I was shopping for boxers on a cruise ship. And it was so detailed that, swear to god, I almost looked in my drawer to look for the boxers (and had sea legs).
All the time, my dreams are very realistic and some of the contents are traumatic. I remember having one once that a plane had crashed just down the road from me and I could see all the dead people (I won't go into detail) but I'm sure you can imagine the details. I could smell, and feel the heat just like you can in real life.
I had a similar dream once. I time travelled forward on a train to a post-nuclear war world. It was unpleasant to say the least.
I have them all the time. I have lucid dreams like I post on this forum. I've had a lot of post-apocalyptic dreams and dreams about zombies and just generally weird shit.
The terrifying ones for me are the zombie ones. I'm terrified of zombies. I always have the dreams where I'm in my house surrounded by zombies and the sky is deep red, one where I'm in an abandoned building fighting zombies off, even one where I was on top of a hill surrounded by rocks and I could see zombies as far as the eye can see. I shake just thinking about it. Thank god zombies aren't real, and hopefully it stays that way. :/
