Do you have any secret signs to communicate with other lgbt members?

I don't personally use any yet because I'm not fully out and I've never been to a gay club or anything, but I know that a particularly common one is wearing a rainbow bracelet.

 

I wear a rainbow bracelet on days I feel brave ,when people know I am gay the say sometimes say its my body language like I keep more eye contact and smile more In a certain way at other women than straight girls , hope that makes sense

 

Hah, I screwed up on that one, I've got an earring on the left ear because I got it pierced before I knew about that stuff...

Someday I would buy a rainbow bracelet, but it's not really the best idea at this moment (considering my out status).

 

I'd buy a rainbow bracelet, but I feel as if I did, they would just consider me plain gay. So I'll pass on that one.

 

I wear a rainbow bracelet every day. I also sometimes wear a ring on my middle finger of my right hand, which is another secret sign between LGBT members, or so I have heard.

 

They have a ring thing now? I might do that I suppose.

 

Anyone backup the ring idea? I think its great. subtle but obvious if you know. and only a 1/10(ish) chance that someone accidentally did it :lol:

 

LOL re the ring thing. I don't think a ring or a piercing is a reliable sign.

I love my rainbow bracelet, as a feminine looking bi girl, it's my only was of being visible!

I've heard that there's a particular way of walking and a way of holding eye contact, but I'm fairly oblivious to all of this...

 

lol, when I was bold enough to stop hiding my gay pendant, I was terrified people on the subway would point at me. Guess what, after a year of wearing it, nobody has a clue what it means. It's a puzzle pendant with two Mars signs.

 

Well, that sounds cryptic to me as well. So I doubt you'll likely get much flak.

Not out yet, so I certainly don't want to do anything like wearing a bracelet that would alert my wife at this point. But I must be sending out signals of some kind, because a guy at work realized it without my saying anything directly to him.

 

I have heard about a ring in a little finger. I haven't found a ring that's small enough and made of good material.

 

I've worn my rainbow bracelet with 2 mars signs (that I've got to fix before my trip), and although it's usually on a day where I also wear a hoodie, I've also worn it with just a t-shirt and jeans. Nobody's picked up on that, at least as far as I've noticed..
