Alright people. Here's the deal: I'm getting a new male birth certificate an a couple of months, and its permanent, and I've decided to reconsider my choice of name. My current middle name is somewhat traditional to my family, and my last name is my family's surname. However, I hate both names, and want nothing to do with my family. So I'm going to change them so that the new names appear on my birth certificate. But I don't know what to pick as a middle name. Ideas anyone? My current name: Alexander Gordon [two syllabic, beginning with B] My new name Alexander [middle name] [One syllable, beginning with G] (I'm not fussed about sticking to the new last name though)
I've always liked the name Oliver. Just my humble opinion. ---------- Post added 1st Aug 2013 at 02:59 PM ---------- By the way, LOVE Alexander. I intend to name my child (if I ever have any) Alex, because I love it and if they turn out to be trans there will be no name change issues
Maybe Spencer for a middle name? You could change your last name to the place where you live or something, your home or something.
Blue Ivy or North West? Only kidding, you could try use this oppurtunity to add some cool latin word as your middle name?
I really like the name Alexander. I'm glad that you don't want to change that. Maybe something that will help you pick a middle name is thinking about initials? I just think they're really important, and chances are you'll be initially some critical document at some point in your life (as we all will have to). Might as well have cool initials. These were some initials I thought were nice looking and middle names that start with that letter (not necessarily serious suggestions, just put names there to give examples). AAG - Alexander Aaron AEG - Alexander Ethan AGG - Alexander Gregory AIG - Alexander Ian ARG - Alexander Ryan Really, I think whatever you pick will be great. Let us know what you do go with!
My favourite male names are Felix, Fergus, Theodore, Phoebus and Rupert. Since Alexander has quite a few syllables, I think the middle name should only be a name which consists of one or two syllables? Someone suggested Spencer and I think that goes quite well with Alexander.
Maybe I'd be better off changing it afterwards. I just realised I can't change my GCSE certificates again.
You could always cut out the Middle Name completely. My father has no middle name, so that's how I'm not considered a Jr.
