Just figured that I'd let folks know that I might be less active than normal here for the next few weeks, and the reasons for that.

I was out at a going away party with a coworker and we were all overserved. Got home without a problem, once there, I fell on the steps leading to my apartment building and severely fractured my wrist (left distal radius, for those in the medical field)

Long story short, had surgery yesterday to put a plate and screws in to hold it together. So while I'm recovering, my posts might be briefer than I'd like since they have to done one-handed

But I'm fine, and at least feeling human again

Moral of the story: don't drink and walk!

You have no idea of the pain. Especially yesterday when the nerve block wore off before I had pain meds (it wore off quicker than they told me) :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

This reminds me of when I went away to Florida for 2 weeks. The whole trip went fine, I didn't even get sick at all. But as soon as I walked up to my room when we got home I broke my toe xD

Yeah, leer I'm off work for the time being. Really hard to work on a computer all day with one hand (typing this short reply is taking MINUTES rather than 10 seconds)

Good news is short-term disability will cover 100% of my base salary, so I'm no worse off for it.

I feel for you Dude, I was drunk once & fell of a bench, landing on my hand, next day I found out I had fractured my hand & had to wear one of these things
