Is it just me, or do we all have poems & cheesy song lyrics about being LGBT... or being in love... that we never show anyone? Thought I'd start a thread where we can post them! (It is an anonymous site, after all.) Just as a way to share them with people who can relate. No judgements! I'll start... and here's a random stanza. :icon_redf I’m fighting with a monster inside me I’m in love with a girl who’ll never know Pick your battles Pick your poison Pick your heartache But close the closet door And leave mine alone
I like you And there's no rhymes for that And no rhythm Just a beat Because there's no rhythm with you Just beats. Does that even make sense? I don't even know anymore.
We all want the little green house with the little green lawn. With the cut grass, and the lemonade we strive to be Those people in the magazines. But then we see the woman or man Just like us Neither father, nor mother Same skin, same body, Same thing that goes underneath. It entices us Brings us to our knees. We look to them wish they looked at us or maybe they are just different enough for us to be free But you can't touch a man or a woman the same, as a woman and man or man and woman the same love is poison. Same love is proof of a tainted soul. And yet the little house beacons And a man or a woman holds the lemonade Tainted, perhaps, by the smudged fingers on the magazines.
