How old were you when you came to terms with your sexuality?

I realised this year, at thirteen, and came out this year too.

 

Coming to terms and realizing came to me at different paces. The first time the thought of liking guys came into my mind was when I was in second or third grade I know that it wasn't for sure like oh, I'm gay. No I'm pretty sure I didn't even knew that term when I was younger. So about 8 or 9, but accepting the fact and true realization came later on, when I was about 15.

 

Tough one. I've always liked guys but the thought "Am I gay?" didn't cross my mind until I was 16. And I didn't fully accept it until I was 18. But I voted 15-16 for argument's sake.

 

I knew when I was 12

 

I felt like I knew since primary school... or at least much earlier than when most people seem to find out. There wasn't a sexual aspect to it (because puberty hadn't really hit) but I remember feeling nothing when I kissed a girl at the time.

 

well I was about 13 when I realized i was gay I had questioned me feelings towards boys before then .I didn't fully accept it till I had come out so about 17 when I stopped stressing .

 

I knew it at about 13-15 but I couldn't admit it to myself. I was over 20 when I finally could accept it.

 

I was 14 when I realised there was something definitely different. This new boy in my PE class...I just couldn't take my eyes off him!
It was the first time I had ever felt that way, like there was some sort of magnetic field I couldn't escape. And then he and his brothers started catching the same bus...adsjfkdfhh!!!

Then from there it was just like a buffet (I went to an all boys school ) But weirdly I thought I was straight for a while since I had a crush on a girl this one time.

Aaaanyway, some bad stuff happened to me around the same time which led me to just try and forget all about sexuality until I was about 19. After then just accepted it within myself.

Looking back to when I was little it's now clear I was always into guys. In primary school I would get jealous if any of my guy friends had a "girlfriend".
I can also look back and pick out so many TV shows and music artists that I liked but would also be a little bit embarrassed about watching, and now I realise it was because I actually was crushing on the cute guys!

 

Errr maybe about 17-18, I very simply thought "Right, I'm into guys". There was no problem with it whatsoever in my mind until I realised I'd have to tell people :/

Came to terms with my sexuality this year, so 22 years old, but I knew something was off/different since I was maybe 10-11.

 

Like my bio says, I kissed a guy at 13 and realized I'm into guys.

 

I certainly started noticing guys pretty clearly by 7th grade, with the feelings growing through high school and ending up with a major crush on a college roommate of several years. But it wasn't something I really understood or knew how to deal with at the time, and I kept reassuring myself that perhaps I was bi and could "turn it off" as needed. It's really only in the last year that I've done the head slap, like in the V-8 commercials, and actually said duh, I'm gay and always have been.

 

I realized my sexuality quite young, around ten. It took me decades of being in denial to accept it.

 

I realized in 6th grade, so I was probably 11 or 12. I've spent most of the past decade trying to prove to myself that I wasn't gay so I didn't really "come to terms with it" until the past four months.

 

I knew when I was about 12, it took me until I was 20 to come to terms with it.

 

I always knew I liked guys, but then when I was thirteen I realised that what I was feeling was known as "homosexuality". So I just began preparing for coming out.

 

I realized and pretty much at the same time came to terms with it at 21. Glad to see I'm not alone in that age range
