So I know each transgender does it a bit differently, but I would like to know how you either work on getting a deeper voice (FtM) or a Higher voice (MtF)?

The best I can possibly do is exercise my voice enough so that it stays in between a male and female range. Rush is a good band to practice to. I'm wondering.. Is there medication or treatment that would help keep your voice from getting any deeper?

There is some growth stunting you can do to keep your voice from deepening, but I hear it is expensive

My voice is all over the place. Some days it's deep, while other days it's high pitched (so annoying). Though often times I try to control it by talking from my gut, I guess you can say; and really pay attention to not making it high and girly. x_x

I would suggest vocal exercises. I'm friends with my former school's singing teacher, and he managed high pitches by exercising his voice on various tones.

Look around on Google. Ye'll certainly find something useful.

    I'm not transgender, so I didn't vote.

What I'll say it, depending on the song I sing, my voice can either be extremely high (almost feminine) or extremely low (Rammstein ) and it really is somewhere in the middle during normal conversation. It is always deeper when I'm comfortable. Talking on the phone instantly raises my pitch because I hate talking on the phone.

So, the deepest I can get my voice is always when singing.

Again, not trans, but just offering my observations.

Testosterone has made my voice crack recently and I sound like I have a bloody awful cold but I don't sound very male as of yet. It's more deep pitched but still feminine-sounding. Kind of androgynous, I guess.

Vocal exercises didn't do much for me Pre-T and whenever I'd try to make my voice sound deeper it came across as forced. And as someone who works as a cashier and in customer service, the dysphoria and misgendering I'd endure due to my voice almost made me suicidal. My voice is definitely my worse trigger.

I'm just fortunate now that the pitch will drop here shortly, and I do sound different according to my brother, mum and my girlfriend. If only the voice changes could come quicker. -_-

I can get pretty close. I wanted to be the singer in a cover band my friend was putting together because I could actually hit those low tones.

I can also do a mean Till Hammer. :icon_wink

Yeah, luckily ever since I was five I would sing al the female parts in disney songs, so I can hit some high notes, which I am grateful for.

Ah that would be so neat! I've been wanting to learn the keyboard parts in the songs but sheesh....it's way more difficult than it looks. I'm glad I found another rammstein fan..I only have one room mate is way into them like I am but thats it XD.
