I'm assuming you were born in the UK but are claiming an Irish passport 'cos of your dad's nationality. If in doubt, isn't there a phone number on the paperwork you can call? |

It's asking you how you received citizenship (naturalization process, ex. moving and taking the exam; foreign birth to Irish parents; through marriage). Isn't there an Ireland immigration site that can answer this?

Make sure that Ireland lets children apply if only their mother has citizenship, because sometimes countries only allow children to apply if their father or both have citizenship.
