There are sexual orientations I never heard of until today and I want to know what they mean. Somebody please define pansexual, polysexual, asexual, intersexual, trisexual, or any other sexualities I never heard of?

pansexual = Can fall in love no matter what gender
polysexual= attracted to multiple genders and/or sexes
asexual = lacks sexual attractions/ not interested in sexual intercourse/actions
trisexual= pertaining to having sex with males, females, and one's self

There are also demisexual and semisexual, but they're not really sexual orientations so much as that they're degrees of how sexual you are.

There's also androsexual and gynesexual I believe (Correct me if I'm wrong on the latter) The former being simply sexually attracted to guys and the latter being sexually attracted to girls.

I dont get the difference between polisexual and pansexual. And about trisexual...isnt oneself male/female? Therefore one more of the guys/girls making trisexual the same as bisexual? I mean i dont have my own unique sex.

    Im confused :s

Uhhhmm, pansexual is attracted to both sexes and not worrying about gender. So they just love the person regardless.

Polysexuals are attracted to more than one gender or sex. They just don't identify as bi because that implies there are only two binary genders and sexes.

Trisexual..I don't really know...I sorta just looked it up on google.

Anyone, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

How ironic that I just happen to stumble on some new terms like 10 minutes ago. I found the term Gynesexual seems to fit my mindset.

Then I guess monosexual means liking only the most monotonous people.

Nah, it's a sexual attraction to people who have mononucleosis. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

  14. Isn't the difference between bisexual and pansexual that pansexuals are not just attracted to males and females, but they can also be attracted to people who are drag queens, gender queers, etc.

    Chip: That is glorious.

Lostgirl: There are multiple definitions of bisexuality and pansexuality. By some definitions, they are the same thing. By other definitions, yes, bisexuals are people who are only attracted to men and women but pansexuals are people who are attracted to men, women, and genderqueer people.

You ruined it by starting with the disclaimer. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: (BTW, isnt't that definition of trisexual correct? :S)

Pansexual - The only requirement is potential attraction to people of all genders. Some people also use it to indicate they don't have a gender preference, and sometimes even no physical characteristic preference.
Polysexual - Potential attraction to people of multiple genders, though unsepcified, so you'd have to ask them.
Asexual - Lacking sexual attraction to people, though they may still have sex drives.
Intersex - A medical condition in which someone's reproductive/sexual anatomy is not clearly "male" or "female".

Bisexual is a varied multisexual identity. Some people use it to mean they're only attracted to males & females. Some people use it to mean they're attracted to the genders differently, such as fluid sexuality or at different strengths. For some bisexuals, it means the same thing as pansexual.

I know several Pansexuals IRL, they say that the reason they dub themselves pansexuals is sorta like they are asexuals but they dont mind sex, as long as they are in love.
