Hey people,

So it turns out I'm taking a trip to Queensland with my bestie in August. Just wondering who's from QLD on here, and if any advice can be given to me about the Gold Coast and Brisbane more specifically eg.

-What the weathers like in August
-What sort of places a gay boy should avoid
-What sort of places a gay boy should go to!

Gawd Micah, how about you can fit in my portable ash try for the flight. Only then can you come with. Going with Luke. And i only found out I'm going... 2 days ago.

But I seriously need to know if theres any good places for gay peeps up there in paradise.

I miss Queensland. Its awesome, and I lived in horroble dumps such as Cloncurry, Innisfail, Ayr (Youve probably never heard of Ayr and Cloncurry, and only heard of Innisfail cause of that cyclone that destroyed it a while back) so If I liked it and lived in those place then you'll like it wherever you go.

As i said b4 in my standards its gets quiet chilling in aug but coming friom vic u might find it fine. Even if its ok by ur standards local dp find it cold so ur much less likely to see shirtless guys in public than u do in dec/jan.
Here are some weather stats i found with some quick searching
June/July/August - Winter
Mean temperature: 15.60 C
Max average temperature: 21.20 C
Min average temperature: 10.10 C
Precipitation: averages 56.7mm a month
Wind speed average: 9.4 km/h

As im not out and dont get out much id dont really know much about gay venues on the coast. I dont think there is much here as there is in melbourne. There is one bar/club, i've never been to it and have no idea wat its like. Other than that idk. If dont make out with a guy in public u should fine. There are general area to avoid but u get that in any city.

Not sure if that much help, want to know anything just ask me.

As for the rest of the more the merrier. EC orgy on the coast hehe
It will be nice to not be the only lonely member here (even if its only for a short time)

I was going to say a similar thing to UnderARock when it comes to the weather. The last time I was in Queensland was actually in August '05. The weather was really nice and warm and it felt great to go out and wear shorts in winter. But the locals thought it was cold. Cold by their standards maybe, but for me it was really nice and warm for the middle of winter!
