I spent a summer in Malaysia which has a 5 year prison term for male homosexuality. I didn't really think of it much when I was there (I was in the closet and in denial at the time) but today just the stuff I do normally with my boyfriend would get us locked up for years.

    Its kinda absurd isn't it

I was born in 1989. Homosexuality was illegal in Romania 'till 1996. Didn't affect me at the time, thankfully.

We drove thru alabama on the way to disney world, if that counts.

But in seriousness, I've seen posts in the anon forum by people trapped in muslim countries. Some of the saddest stories I've read.

Sodomy was illegal in South Carolina until 2003, the year I moved here. I have yet to benefit from the change. In due time

Thank god I live in Canada! Ok this is how it works in my mind, Not being aloud to be gay is like not being aloud to eat cheese.. I think this statement is very Logical

Here in Michigan, we had a sodomy law on the books until 2003, so homosexuality was pretty much illegal until I was 8 years old. Michigan had the second-harshest penalty for sodomy in the nation, where it was a 15 years to life felony.

I was born in the USA, Sodomy laws (anti-gay laws) were part of the natural world back in the day.

Sodomy laws in the United States - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Its not until 2003 when George Bush Jr overturned all sodomy laws. however I lived in states while they had sodomy laws and could arrest and imprison a person.

And yes I know people who pushed the law (cops) who charged them with this 'crime'...

We have come a long way in the past decade... the 21st Century has been a very gay century, the 20th century - not so much.

Ignores gays in america. It is only legal in 13 out of 50 states.
I dont live in an area where it is illegal, but i live in an area where it is very frowned upon.
