na I culdn imagine not being gay either lol

 

I like being gay and wasn't raised to have an issue with it or much else really. So, even if it were a choice, it's one I'd probably exercise. The only real uncertainty is whether I would be only into guys in such a scenario.

If being gay was a choice then people probably wouldn't actually know what being gay is as they also have the choice to be straight and most likely wouldn't act on any gay feelings. Just my thoughts on it

 

Being gay can be extremely lonely sometimes, but that's something I'm trying to change... but I don't think I would want to be straight in all honestly

 

I'd choose to be pansexual.

 

If being gay was a choice, then there'd be a lot of gay people "shoved back into the closet", since forcing people to become straight would be a lot more plausible.

I don't think I would choose it initially, but now that I've lived with it a bit, I'm glad I'm gay. I like the person I am, and I'm not sure how I would've turned out if I wasn't gay. I see the world differently because I'm gay, and I don't want to lose that perspective.

 

You're kind of contradicting yourself, OP. Yeah of course men are irresistable to you and you love being gay now, but that's because you are, and are used to it. You probably wouldn't like the idea of being gay so much if you weren't.

 

I think I would choose. Boys are just so much more fun.

 

Yeah, this is the only healthy attitude about it. Looking back, I'd be a completely different person, with completely different experiences, if not gay. We can't change it, so might as well embrace it.

 

If it was a choice I would have chosen to be straight.

Why? Because I lived through darker days, I know what persecution was. I also missed out on the having kids thing because two gay men were not allowed to adopt.

Being part of that era of inequalities I would have picked 'straight' if it was a matter of choice.

 

If i could choose i wouldve been straight since birth. It kinda sucks (HA! PUN!). a lot more work, i need to stand up for myself, life will NEVER be on cruise control and the constant drama from my friends and family boils me over a lot. I wouldnt be as rejected, but i wouldnt be as accepted. But life would be, in general, a lot easier.

But now that ive come this far, i would choose to stay gay. and i have no problem with that

 

I couldn't imagine not being gay since getting aroused by men and the desire to be snuggled and be kept safe and warm by them comes naturally to me =/

 

I feel like I have a certain degree of conscious control over the direction of my sexuality and I tend to try to keep it around 50-50. If it were my prerogative, I feel like I could 'shift' myself towards one side to the point that that became my orientation. If my emotions changed severely perhaps my orientation would shift too.

I'm sure there are people who did consciously direct themselves one way or another after developing this level of awareness of their sexuality, and that a decent number of them probably don't feel comfortable talking about their life's history or why they chose what they did.

this was one of my main problems when i was figuring out whether i was acctually bi or not because....im a very weird person, and despite most poeple, i like being different to everyone else, and being original, so i was like....am i just thinking im bi, so i can be different?...but i think im pree sure now that im bi

 

Right now, I still wish I wasn't gay. Hopefully that'll change.
