I was just wondering about the current gender balance of EC, just out of curiosity (we seem to be getting lots more women - yay! Not that I don't love you men...).

I wasn't sure what gender categories to put other than the four I've put in the poll - if anyone feels excluded, sorry

but feel free to elaborate! (and sorry if a similar poll has just been done that I've missed or something like that).

You may be wondering why I put the options in the order I did. Originally, and instinctively, I put them down as

Male
Female
Transgendered
Other

There was no reason for this, other than that this was the order they came into my head, and the way it felt they *should* be ordered - even though I know that they are *all equally valid*. There's cultural conditioning for you!

However, the realisation that I'd put 'male' first and 'other' as a kind of afterthought, annoyed me so I reversed the order...

well bioloically girl but i don't want to be a girl. i'm guy like but also girl like. i don't want to be a guy either so i identify as genderqueer.

I'm aware as genderqueer as an identity but for some reason I didn't put it in - sorry!

Although, actually, if you want my gender description, here it is:

I feel like a man pretending to be a woman, who is actually ultimately a woman. ie, ultimately I am a woman and want to be a woman, but there is this middle layer of man in me... which makes me feel never womanly enough...
