I'm in the UK. I need to rather urgently send a couple of faxes to America. I have a fax machine.

Basically, the numbers begin with 212- and 845-, for example. Do I need to add a country code? If so, where do I add it?

I suppose you need to add 001 to get the stuff to the US, and add them in front of the number

You need to add 001 in front of the number you have. 00 for international, 1 for the USA, then the area code and number you have.

1 is also the country code for Canada... because we're number 1!
