You're about one or two notches heavier than I usually sit. I do like rock/alt-rock/modern rock/whatever the heck they're calling it today, but I tend to like things a bit more melodic.

I'm definitely a Tool fan. On my long drive home today I listened to the entire Enima CD. As for the other stuff, not so much. I do like a bit of Dropkick Murphys stuff, but not all.

EDIT: how do you feel about chevelle?

I'm into everything. From the pre-WWII stuff of Django Reinhardt, to 90s/early 00s dance music like Chicane, to pounding death metal, I'm into... yep, just about every genre.

>>>how can you not like dance?

It's called "being an individual", and you have no idea how kick-ass it is.

That's a tad rude. Insinuating that people who like dance aren't individuals. You can be an individual with individual tastes. I respect your tastes in Tool or whatever, so I expect the same from you.

I'm an individual but as soon as the beat starts theres no way I can stop shakin that ass

I like lots of different types of music, Hardcore (Frenchcore/Hardtek, not the crappy 'hardcore' that resembles gabber), most types of electronic music (dance, house, jungle, drum'n'bass, tektonik), all forms of metal (nu, death, black, power, extreme, melodic), just about anything playable with a guitar (jazz, blues, rock, instrumental, etc...), reggea, ragga, dancehall, alternative, some R&B and some american rap, pop, homo-hop (BCD) and that's about it I guess, there's not really much I don't like.

I usually go through "taste moods" when it comes to music. In general, I'll listen to anything and enjoy it. Right now though I've been listening to various forms of house and trance.

I thought the original comment was a bit rude - "How can you not like dance?" The implication there was that something is wrong with HIM because of his tastes. I thought a response in kind was in order. Maybe I was wrong.

It's all good.

I just believe everyone should like what they like, without having to feel embarrassed by it. If you love rock, disco, pop, dance, classical, or polka, for God's sake, LOVE it. Blast it. Own it. There shouldn't be anything guilty about a "guilty pleasure".

Jane's Addiction is one of my favorite bands of all time.

I don't like Tool or Metallica, though. They're really not my cup of tea.

However, I do listen to these bands/artists: Avenged Sevenfold, George Micheal, AFI, The Bravery, Joy Division, The Cure, Hatebreed, August Burns Red, Norma Jean, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Underoath.

The list goes on and on and on...

Ummm.... I like Tool and Dropkick Murpheys. Also Flogging Molly and other Irish-y bands (gotta give props to my heritage) Also, I love classical, opera, guitar stuff (my little brother's a guitar major, so he has a lot of recordings and whatnot that I bum from him). Metal stuff is always good, pop, punk, old school hardcore which was the transition period between punk and metal (Minor Threat, Mewithoutyou [although, technically they're a "rebirth" or sorts], Converge etc)
I've got a lot of musical influences, my brothers and my parents and my extended family
