Hey guys ! So today, I was having a conversation with my mom when somehow the conversation turned into talking about transgender people. I commented about thr transgender teen that won homecoming queen, and she told me that she admired how brave transfolk were, how they have so much courage. She then suprised me with how much she knew about transitioning, telling me about hormone injections, top surgery, etc. I was taken aback how much she knew about the topic and how accepting and supportive she was. Although I myself am not trans, I thought I would share this here. Hope this makes someone's day better .
Aw, that's awesome! You're lucky to have such an open minded, well educated mom! It's nice to see people are starting to open their minds about LGBT issues. Thanks for sharing this with us
The other day my mom was talking about drag queens, it was rather amusing. She soon changed the subject to finding me a boyfriend  because according to her, if I dont get one on my own soon she will go looking for them  So glad I have an awesome mom
I wish my mom was more like that. She hasn't really said anything about it, sometimes I feel like I never even came out
I wish my mum were that informed. Hell, I still think she's unaware of top surgery and all that even though I've mentioned it quite a few times. "Top?" "What does that mean?" :eusa_doh:
Um, a little bit of imagination is all that's required here. What kind of surgery would only trans-people get that involves the top part of their body? And it sure as hell isn't botox injections.
