Do you have any hobbies that people think you are crazy for doing because they can be considered dangerous? I just started playing 5 finger fillet, and it's a lot of fun, but also slightly terrifying. I showed my friend, and she thinks I'm an absolute idiot for doing it. lol I love playing the 'knife game" you can't use a pencil you can't use a pen you have to use a real knife 'cause danger is your friend some may call it stupid and some may call it dumb but I play this game all the same 'cause it's so much fun. I have 3 pocket kives and the tips are all blunted a bit from playing. I almost never hit my fingers. My biggest goof I make is slicing the back of my hand when I come back from the gap between my ring and pinky fingers to the outside of my thumb. Btw. clip is from Aliens (1996) I was about 15-16 seems there was a similar trick in a classic movie (breakfast club maybe?) cause I used to play with a pencil in grade school
Five-finger fillet? Lol, airsoft is slightly dangerous, but there is minimal chance of deep gouges to my body XD. That's about as recklessly inviting disaster as I'll go.
I duck hunt. Like duck dynasty, just not as red neck. I have been in some pretty scary and dangerous situations with guns, boats almost capsizing on the Columbia River, freezing conditions, etc.
Ham radio. Dangerous voltage and sometimes I expose myself to very high w/cm3 levels because I don't care about the potential effects. Shooting. Dangerous if you're an idiot. I'm not. Cars. Dangerous if you're an idiot. I'm not. People drop cars on themselves WAY too often though. Cigar smoking. Eventual cancer. I do it rarely. Very rarely. I think that's about it.
I guess I could include this on my own list. Except that it's too expensive now, more dangerous to buy ammo just because you have to use your food budget. :eek:
GOD tell me about it! I couldn't get .22LR for the longest time. I have several bricks, but when you can't grt LR it's a good indicator of the status of ammo supply in general. My father sold his 1911 because .45ACP is incredibly expensive. I wasn't able to rent the Glock 23 at our local shooting range because the range's ammo supplier is TOTALLY out of .40 S&W. If I don't shoot sometime soon, I'm going to get rusty!
