Okaay, so, jaah, my sister just died her hair thick, dark brown hair (kinda like my color, but darker) blonde and I'm kinda loving it and kinda want to do it for myself.

I'm just not sure if it'd look right on me :s I don't want to do it and then find out I hate it. I generally prefer darker colors, but this just seems like a fun way to mix things up.

    Hmm...I can't decide. Any thoughts/opinions?

If you want to go for it
If you decide you hate it you can always dye it a darker colour

I think blondes usually look nice, but nothing wrong with your current color. Besides, when the roots get too dark, you'll have to do it again. Pain in the butt to keep up with. >.<

Argh! I've been thinking of doing this exact same thing! I'm a guy with really long, INCREDIBLY thick dark brown hair, but I kind of really want to do something crazy with it!

Dark to blonde can be tricky. If your sister has the same complexion and her new color doesn't contrast with her skin, then go for it! Keep in mind that it takes a lot of upkeep (dying your roots and eyebrows).

My brother and I are Irish twins. We have dark brown hair and we both recently dyed a patch of our hair blonde. No regrets!

If you really want, go for it. Ultimately, nobody's stopping you. It's not illegal, and people do it all the time.

    DO IT FILLY!!!

But seriously, it's your hair, give it a shot. If all fails, bleach it again and dye it a bright neon colour for teh lulz.

I say try it, but just leave enough time without plans to dye it back if it looks bad. maybe play with pictures of yourself in photoshop if you want to see how your eyebrows work with it/etc

I'm not stopping you from dying your hair.. But I don't personally think you should do it. Blonde is such an odd color to me.

Thank you all for your opinions  I'm getting more no's than yes's which makes me think it'd look wrong on me. I know certain colors just frame my face weird, so, I dunno! I really can't picture myself blonde, well XD

Also, it wouldn't be supposed to look like a natural blonde. It would be like one of those obvious blondes, like where I keep my brows are dark, and it's obvious it isn't my natural color.

    @Nodepony,

I actually kinda like that idea, especially cause this is mainly to just kinda mix things up a bit, but unfortunately, all the jobs I'm applying for won't go for it. They require hair to be natural colors, which is why I picked blonde.

Do whatever you feel like doing, I personally like your hair dark, though.

    Just my two cents, though.

    I say this...

    TAKE TIME CHOOSING THE BLONDE!

I cannot tell you the amount of people who just pick a blonde dye and go for it, you need to find out what skin tone you have (warm or cool) and work from there that way it looks better. After that you of course need to find out about the product being used on your hair and with what level of blonde you are willing to go. If you have done all the research and still want to go through with it, do it! Just make sure you put some research it's tragic seeing a pretty face ruined by bad hair.

If you want it , go for it. ^ . ^

My last hair colour was blonde (Currently red , nickname now is period head. QQ) and people thought it would look horrible , but then they said it looked better than my natural brown hair. Nnnnnot sure but if there's a LIVE colour XXL Ice blonde selling in your country , use it. Lasts for sooo long and it goes quite white-blonde. (More blonde, it looks stunning)

I think'll suit you since you have quite big eyes (Which is a good thing).

Although if it's your first time dying your hair , don't wash your hair for 3 days after it's in. (It sounds disgusting but worth it) Greasy repairs it and makes it thicker.
