People keep having kids. The Big Recession didn't change that. Lots of strollers and newborns. I periodically get to hear someone beam that someone had a child. How do you react to this news? There is a poll.

    Depends.

If they're liberal, free-thinking, atheists who value the arts, culture and diversity, I'm happy.

    It they're conservative, far-right-born-again-pistol-packin'-Republicans, I'm sad.

But then again it's hard to say if the kids will accept or rebel against their parents' worldview, and to what extent.

Doesn't bother me. We need kids to keep the population going.

I'm indifferent. Good for them, but don't annoy me with it.

It would be good for the sake of the earth if the population would decline a bit of the years to come, though.

Male and indifferent. It's kinda like, ohh, yeahh, you reproduced, congratulations..? Like...umm, yay overpopulation? You decided *not* to help out on of the thousands of kids in foster care, who are actually here and need a home....umm, yay, for you? I mean, I don't care, really.

They're fine, as long as they're quiet, and stay well away from me.

Male and indifferent. Unless the kid in question is nearby and noisy, in which case, annoyed.

Since i just started college and "home" for half the people i know constitutes a 12x12 room, my reaction would be "poor kid."

I don't think that someone else's choice to have children is really any of my business. And if they are happy about it, then I am happy for them.

It depends. If they spoil the child, I will hate both of them. If they're neglectful of the child, I hate only the parent. I sometimes want to take away kids from selfish parents who either spoil or neglect their kids because it's easier than raising them properly.

    Male, and breeding annoys me.
There are already 7 billion people on this planet, and kids who don't have a home to call their own...
I think people should refrain from having kids for a couple decades or so.
The world has too many mouths to feed already.

I'm happy if they're happy, but I don't go all "OMG YOU'RE HAVING A BABY!!!! AJDKFJFHGASKDFJ!!!!!"

Though I do find it strange when a couple says "We're pregnant". It's like they're indirectly saying "We had sex" in front of all their friends and relatives. I don't know, I just find it weird, but I'm probably being the weird one...

Indifferent. It's not my place to judge people on having kids even though I hate them

I love kids, but that's because I was part of a large extended family (I'm an only child), so someone was always having a baby or toddler.

I just became a Godmother and I am completely ecstatic and out-of-my-mind in love with the baby. It was also the first baby I have ever held and I will never forget how it felt.

My current crush has kids, which I think is the one reason she suspects I do not want her, which is an okay reasoning but I think I can handle it.

Mostly indifferent, it's their choice to have kids after all. It's only annoying when too many people have children at the same time, and wherever you go you hear babies. Population explosion.

I despise extreme rightists, but I don't despair at them breeding. Extremists having children isn't a tragedy and I think it's a bit fucked up that you seem to be implying they shouldn't have children or that political views are even relevant when it comes to having families

I'm happy and fine that they had children. Doesn't really float my boat or change anything :s
