Honestly I think anyone struggling because religion is condemning them should watch this, because it will give you a far greater understanding of our history, and why religion is so anti-gay. [for girls and boys]

I can only say it is soooo worth watching.

Okay... I was supposed to be working with the mods/admin here to make a sticky about this, but It didnt work out, so I just want any of you who is struggling because your faith condemns you to check this video out, or message me. I have done a lot of research on this topic, so any questions you have, please post them in this thread, and I will answer them.

I suggest that anyone who feels like they can't be christian and gay would look at this documentory called For The Bible Tells Me So: http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docid=8079306618277312330&hl=en

it is a full documentory that will make you feel a million times better about the things people might say, or might have said to you, or even the things you might secretly think about yourself.

Anyways... I hope you get the chance to watch it.

This is really informational, it's really helpful. Thanks for posting it!!!

On a side note: The Rev. Jimmy Swaggert, he was like "Its an ABOMNATION". I laughed, the word is ABOMINATION, not ABOMNATION. I'm sorry, it's a serious subject, but it's hilarious...

The part where the black guy was like "I prayed to God that my son wouldn't be a faggot and my daughter wouldn't be a slut, he reversed it". That was sad, especially when they were talking to her.

At least they came around that's good.

I think they should put this on TV every once and while, so that more people can see it.

Yeah.. this is a very good film.. Thanks Mike for bringing it up... The LGBT club on my campus actually had a joint event with varsity christian fellowship where we played this movie and had an ensuing discussion..

I watched this twice already.. and didn't stop me from tearing twice...

OMG !! Thank you Mike for sharing that video (*hug*)
If you haven't seen it, WATCH IT !!! It is extremely touching, most of those people were so inspirational. I'm really glad people are starting to open their eyes, esp the religious people.
Considering the very religious context in which the parents were brought up in and te fact that they still manage to love and fully accept their child, even fight for their right is very touching.
That video made me really sad and really happy at the same time.

wow that's very cool, i wish more christian-lgbt discussions would take place like that.

And yeah I thought the movie was really good, if I ever come out to my dad I'll show it to him because he was the type of Christian to preach about how homosexuality was a choice when I was younger. At least the movie could make that type of Christian think they don't know everything =\

I love Desmond Tutu. Desmond Tutu is like, the one major religious figure who seems like the sort of guy I'd actually be happy to meet.

And that clip of the West Wing.

Thank you so much, Mike, for posting that video.

It usually takes alot for me to cry, and I was almost brought to tears from it.

I am definetly showing my parents this documentary someday. It is really worth watching.
