My boss surprised me today,said I am a hard worker and not afraid of getting of getting my hands dirty.I work at a junkyard fixing his repairables,the mechanical stuff.It was also 8 years ago he hired me in and I finally remembered it.I do a great job doing it right the first time and he sees this a lot from me.Plus he wants me to be part owner and I said yes to it.We are going to talk details in a couple weeks.
I am looking towards being co owner.He trusts me very well,I have the highest seniority of the area I work in with 3 guys that are slackers sometimes.My boss sees I am on top seeing that happening also seeing them cutting corners.
That's awesome! When you do your work well and have colleagues who slack off, it sometimes it can make you feel unappreciated. Great to hear that he trusts you to the point that he is willing to essentially give you part of his business.
I don't like it when these 3 guys slack off and it is even the horseplay and unsafe practices they do.I chewed out one using the torch near a gas can on Monday.I yelled out to get that gas can in the cabinet where the gas goes now knowing it was a fire hazard waiting to happen.My boss had a co owner,an ex friend of his that stole money.
