Paederasty is disturbing to me. It relies on one inferior partner, and a sense of ownership of the younger man by the older. It seems quite unhealthy. Of course, it's better than the later developments of women in relation to men throughout the greater part of the two millenia after Ancient Greece.
This guy knows his stuff. Overall I'm glad we don't do it anymore hehe, as ancient Greek pederasty wasn't the same as homosexuality as we know it.
It is interesting to see what really an alien view of human sexuality compared to current Western culture that has been so thoroughly indoctrinated in Judeo-Christian values. It's important to note that pederasty was also practiced in many other regions, such as Japan and Islamic countries. Also, even in ancient Greece, the actual physical sex was kind of downplayed in relation to the "educational" aspect of an adult man acting as a mentor to a younger man. IMO, this is similar to the "gay daddy" subculture.
"Sorry, out of 45yrs of my life this is my first time hearing of pederasty. Sounds intetresting though.:tears:
