I wanted to know if you guys and girls used condoms, or any other disease preventing method, during oral sex when you're having casual sex, i.e. sex with strangers. Vote in the poll or post a reply. :icon_wink Please be as honest as you can, no judging.

P.S.: If you've never had sex, vote what you would do.

If I don't know a guy well enough to have sex without protection I just won't have sex with him. Sex for me requires more intimacy than a nameless & faceless cock through a glory hole or being bent over the seat of my truck in a dark parking lot.

Never have had casual sex and I can't see me changing that in the future. I've been with my current partner for years and so I do feel very secure. However, we did wear condoms every time in the first year or two of our relationship.

If we were to break up, then yes, I would absolutely use condoms again and insist that my new partner get tested.

Regardless of whether it is casual or not, I always use condoms for anal sex.

Oral sex, no, I don't use condoms.

Well, during my first sexual experience, i did not. We agreed to “pull out“, and did. But, i now realize that that was REALLY stupid, and in any future bedroom games, i plan on not doing anything without a condom.

Yes because you can still get STDs from oral.

Is casual sex penetrative or external? Since the poll mentioned oral separately, then anal sounds like it would not be considered casual. I'm assuming casual means something like a circle jerk or a "favor for a friend" type of encounter.

I'm curious how someone could "know for certain" that their partner is disease free?

Even walking out of a testing lab with a "all tests negative" result... one does not know for certain their partner is disease free, because of the latency period. This is probably the single least understood part of testing... and probably also one of the biggest sources of new infections.

But it's not incredibly likely, unless you have a bleeding gaping wound in your mouth that could cause mingling of bodily fluids.

If you have a cut in your mouth, definitely use a condom for oral sex.

That's what they make flavored condoms for, like banana. (!)

Yes I'm not saying it's perfectly safe, I just didn't know using condoms for oral was a thing. I can count the number of guys I've had oral with on one hand, so I'm hardly claiming to be an expert, but the use of a condom is something none of us even considered.

    YAY banana!!

I was under the impression that the semen itself could have STDs in it. Is the idea that it get's burnt up in your stomach? : 3

Yeah I know, I was just letting people know of the risk if they did not know yet...not that I'm an expert. ; P

You can get STD's from oral sex, but that wouldn't taste very good at all.

Semen that goes into your mouth wouldn't come into contact with any bodily fluids that could transmit the disease, unless you have an open wound where there is bleeding. Stomach acids are not bodily fluids that would transmit the disease, so no, swallowing semen into your stomach shouldn't transmit any STDs.
