With the Game of Thrones pun intended, winter is really coming. I'm not ready, I live in North Dakota (the coldest continental US state *thumbs up*) and we really get brutal wind and negative degree cold here. I work out at an airport too, and if there is a delay that means I have to stay at work longer. One time we stayed 7 hours AFTER we were supposed to get off work.

However, the one thing I look forward to is snowboarding. I can't wait to go again ^_^ otherwise, I reeeeally hate winter.

Anyone excited or not excited at all for winter?

I'm not excited for winter. I'm excited for holidays and the slim possibility of snow. =/

    IT WASN'T A CHOICE! I WAS BORN HERE!

I like snow, but I don't like snow  It looks pretty but meh, so cold and gross when it gets all sloshy.

I wish I were excited about holidays, I used to enjoy it but since I moved out here I am away from my mommy who is my best friend in the world, and we can't get to each other this year. So, I just volunteered to work for any holidays haha. Time and a half, can't complain!

I also do not give a foof about Christmas either, I want to start a secret santa for work just to have *something* exciting but people didn't seem very excited about it. Bah.

Well that shows me up. I thought Montana was colder. Hai, neighbor!

Anyway, I hate the continental north... Grumble, grumble.

I think we're the coldest here just because of how flat it is. There are almost literally no trees here, and if they are they are 'man made' haha, they are planted, and they are like little frail trees. Really sad actually. I miss Michigan's scenery.

I have a friend from Montana, she looooooved it. I would like to visit because I hear good things about it.

Just for reference, last year we had a week where every single day was -16F with a wind chill of -42. Every. Day.

I don't hate winter as much as I hate being cold and driving in snow and ice. Besides that, winter is fine. If I'm warm in my house with a nice cup of hot cocoa, I'm chill. You know?

Winter is non-existent where I am. It's just the monsoon season, which I am not really looking forward to. Floods and floods of rain... :frowning2:

I know a lot of people say they would rather deal with snow than rain. I think I'm one of those people for the most part. I like rain, but when it's snowing, and it's not terribly cold I feel like it's so much better. Your hair holds up, you don't get soaked from the rain. When snow is bad though, it's terrible. I hate driving in snow/ice ever since I almost did an accidental Thelma and Louise.

We don't really get snow here, for better or for worse, and instead have rain, hail, and fog. I've always loved winters, for the weather alone, if nothing else.

I love Winter and Autumn. I feel like I write better stories - something to do with an ancient instinct to sit around the fire telling tales, I think!

I love winter! Of course it doesn't really matter where I live since the coldest we'll see is like 15 F. That's the gel point of diesel and my 190D never has issues starting so it doesn't get below that temp. No snow, just cold temps.

I just put 4 new glow plugs in the car though. So I'm not worried about a damn thing! She'll start no matter what. Only other prep I'll do is wrap my prickley pears and aloe vera in their comfy blankets to keep them warm. c:

I love the winter. Snow, cold, reduced sun. What more could I ask for?

I thought I was the only one who loved winter! I love the chill on my face when it gets cold. I have this wonderful down lined, wool pea coat that I can only wear comfortably if the temp drops below 10F!

    Colorado winters are the best!

Yeah, in most places along the front range around here, you can see snow-capped peaks for 7-8 months out of most years!
