Well.. there's not many gay characters on tv right now, but if I had to pick from the history of tv shows.. probably Kevin and Scotty from Brothers & Sisters, Marshall and Lionel from United States of Tara and Captain Jack and Ianto from Torchwood
I haven't really watched many shows with gay characters. Josh Thomas played a characet who was essentially himself in Please Like Me, but apart from him, I don't really like any of the other characters who are gay on TV.
Captain Jack Harkness, gotta be with the others on this one :U And also Callie Torres and Arizona Robbins from Grey's Anatomy.
Michael Novotny (Queer as Folk) and Alice Pieszecki (The L Word). Other than pretty much just those two shows, I hate how gay characters are portrayed in mainstream American TV. Ooh, I do like the characters Christian Mann and Oliver Sabel from the German soap "Forbidden Love" - tooo fucking cute. But yeaah, again that's not American TV.
am not a lover of gay characters on tv because the writers get it all wrong most of the time I find them annoying & over the top . The only one I liked was a character called Arron on a soap in the uk Emmerdale but in the end the writers gave him a controversial story line and he left after that .
Um...There arent many I really like. Most of them...just...ugh. Writers anger me. I think the ones I do actually like are : Lena and Stef from The Fosters because they don't fall into stereotypes. Louise from Hell on Wheels. A journalist who doesn't let people get away with B.S. Pepa and Silvia from Los Hombres De Paco. My favorite not-so gay gay women are of course Rizzoli and Isles But they don't count...yet.
