Today is National Coming Out Day, and I have a question: what are some interesting ways you or another has celebrated it? I, for one, am not very brave. I have done nothing more than wear a million rainbow bracelets and dance around in front of the friends I'm already out to. My totally awesome language arts teacher, who happens to be lesbian, is much cooler than I am. She wore a tiara and a cape, dancing around and declaring to the class that it's National Coming Out Day. I love her; I came out to her in a memoir I wrote and she couldn't talk to me about it without crying. She's amazing. Anyways, what have you done for NCOD?
I got to work today and punched in. My boss was there, so I sat down and chatted with her. In the middle of the conversation, I blurted out "OH! Happy national coming out day!" Yay impulsivity. She's straight, but is devinately supportive.
