It looks like I am heading to a boarding school in Pennsylvania so how is it? Do you get home sick? Are roommates easy to have?
All I know about boarding schools comes from Madeline and Harry Potter. Suffice to say, it probably won't be quite like that XD. I'd picture it being like college dorms, except with a lot less beer pong and more fancy school uniforms.
My mom went to a boarding school and liked it. Though, that made her kind of distant with her family.
I went to a boarding school all 4 years of high school. It kind of depends on what kind of school it is. Mine was a religious school so it had a lot of crazy rules. But basically it's like college except the deans have more control over you. And roommates all depend on the person you get. I had a roommate I absolutely loved one year and another year I only went to my room to sleep.
Depends on your character. I would personally hate living in those circumstances. I hate sharing and dealing with people in such a close proximity. I rather live with a pack of wolves.
I was sent to a French-speaking all boys boarding school at the age of 5, although my mother tongue is English. I Stayed there all week and came home on weekends. This lasted my first three years of primary school. Good way to learn a language. Bad way to forge a relationship with my family, or maybe that was a good thing...hard to tell. Liked being with the boys though... :icon_wink
I go to a boarding school in MA, and I actually really like it! My roommate is super cool, and isn't freaked out by my flagrant homosexuality. In fact, she's more active in GSA than I am.... I'm handling stress and work pretty well, and I don't feel too homesick. Thanksgiving holiday is soon, so I'm not worried.
