So I've been watching porn since i was at least 7 or 8 now im 18 now every time after i masturbate from porn i feel a little gross and ashamed of myself recently i saw some transsexual porn and masturbated a little to it but kind of hesitated to ejaculate and now all i can think about is rather im gay or not even thought i've never been attracted to men so i've been wondering if porn has an effect on my sexual orientation so i was just wondering what would define me as a porn addict and if so what is a good way to stop watching porn and masturbating to it?

Yes - and from what I have witnessed through the years a lot of straight guys are getting into lGBT porn because straight porn doesn't do 'it' for them any more.

This would fall under Sex Addiction and I would suggest locating a Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) meeting to go to: Find an S.L.A.A. Meeting Near You | Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous

Very much agreed. And nether the less masterbation is a form of stressrelief but doing it too often could damage the penis head, so try to cut down ok

You're only addicted once porn becomes an important part of your day; you can't function without it. Any other effects you might get from it can be good or bad, but addiction means you feel it's taking over.

If you need more and more intense or extremely different porn, you're probably addicted. If it's an indispensable part of your life, then you're addicted.

BAH there is nothing harmful about masturbation. You'll deplete your viable sperm and you could get a blister. There's no way to damage your body by masturbating...

I agree, addiction is when you need something. If you feel like you can never masturbate again if you didn't have porn, then yeah that's addiction. I love porn, but I could put it all away and use my imagination alone. I don't need it, and I go in a sine wave. Some weeks I'm super duper horny and others are just meh, I could do other things.

It seems like you are asking two questions

    1. Whether or not porn affects your orientation. The answers have been given to you many many times in July in your several threads on it but I'll say it again. You have got to stop worrying about the labels and your orientation. What you watch as far as porn does not determine whether or not you are gay or bi. You are the only one who can figure that out. As has been said many times we can't answer that for you

    2. Porn addiction is generally defined as an addiction when it becomes a constant interruption in your life or affects your social, personal or occupational life in a negative way. Addiction also carries with it an obsessive need to act out the addiction. If you can't go without watching porn or obsessivey think about it while not watching porn than it could very well be an addiction.

One of the best ways to curb a process addiction is to take some small steps. Next time you feel you need porn, try your best to delay doing it if even for 10-15 minutes. Then increase that delay and there is potential you'll find a bit of control returning to you

Like others have said, porn preference alone doesn't determine sexual orientation, though of the vast majority of gay men who have discussed the type they enjoy, it's almost always been gay male porn. Odd, since you'd think "a penis is a penis, right?" but when it's attached to a woman... it might as well not even be there, since the reaction is similar.

Anyway, extensive porn watching has been shown to alter the brain, to the point where straight guys have a tough time being aroused by women in real life, and would rather get it off to a hardcore scene. They literally lose the ability to orgasm without it, and there are even entire forums where this phenomenon is discussed in-depth. You've been watching for a long time, so some changes might be long-lasting and difficult to get over.

Attraction isn't just what you're aroused by, since there are plenty of lesbians, for instance, who watch gay male porn, but what feels natural to you. If you've been into females up until now, and the source of your worry is just what type of porn you watch, you're probably obsessing and conditioning yourself. Not that it isn't a problem, since it's often talked about as the source of couples breaking up, but you might want to look at each piece of the puzzle separately...

If it makes you feel better, it's better to be a porn addict than a drug addict. Not that I'd even recommend watching porn in the first place...
