So as I slowly make my way out of this closet, one thing I want to do is meet other gay people in real life. I don't really want to be screaming "I'm gay" from the rooftops by being overtly obvious (that's just not my style anyway).

I thought a low-key rainbow bracelet would be cool to wear when I'm out and about, but I'm not quite sure where to get them (needs to have intl shipping!). I'm more after one of those 'hippy' fabric weave ones, rather than the silicone ones.

Have accessories like bracelets or pins gotten you attention from other gay people that you would not have otherwise gotten? And in what other ways do you 'advertise' yourself as gay?

There are dozens of websites where you can get rainbow...everything.

I have a small leather rainbow bracelet (but it's starting to fall apart) and a heart-shaped rainbow necklace. They do gain me a bit of attention, but it's usually along the lines of "nice jewelry".

I wear my plastic rainbow pride bracelet that I got for free at this last pride festival because nobody would know I was a lesbian without it. I also have rainbow beads tied to my purse.

I recently made a rainbow bracelet out of rubber bands, my parents don't even notice though -_-. Can I be any more obvious besides screaming it out?

    Try eBay.

Can't complain about the price lol.

In terms of getting attention, I can't answer that question because I don't wear any rainbow stuff. But I can tell you that there was a girl in one of my classes wearing one and I noticed it right away (after her hair, that is, if only because it was put up in such a way that it looked like a dinosaur's back...). Lmao.

So after reading this thread I decided I really wanted a pride bracelet. As I'm bi, I wanted the bi colours obviously. So; I made it myself!

I'm tempted to get one of these. Might be an easy way to come out. Just show up at home for Thanksgiving break with one of them on my wrist. >><<

I'm personally going for a rainbow neck strap for my saxophone xD

I don't usually wear anything on my wrists, plus it's kind of unique.

I have a rainbow ring. Well, it's Austrian Crystal. It looks rainbow, so I wear it.

I want a pride bracelet! I'm debating whether to get a rainbow or one with bisexual colours... It might open up more opportunity with my friends to talk about my sexuality and give them a bit of a pointer. Also, it would be nice for other LGBT members to recognise me.
