Hello everyone on the Internet, EC. I wanted to ask a question to you all.

What other countries would you like to go or live in and why? It could be anywhere in the world, what's important is why.

Sweden. And okay, my own country isn't that bad either.

I was thinking about Germany, but in fact I only like Berlin.

Having actually lived abroad, I still have to pick the United States as #1. I would actually give Germany #2.

Timo, I agree with liking Berlin, I lived there when the wall came down. I would add Munich and Frankfort to the list though.

Canada; namely Vancouver and the forests of British Columbia. I saw a pictorial of the area in a National Geographic magazine ages ago and fell in love...

Italy. Specifically Florence, Venice, and Emilia Romagna. Once I'm wealthy I plan on spending several weeks a year there.

And England. I've already planned a massive country manor I will renovate to retreat to in England.

I'd like to visit Paris for a long period of time too.

Russia is on the list, but a bit further down. I'd want to visit the historical sites mostly, St. Petersburg in particular. Obviously that's going to wait (both for financial reasons as well as the current political climate.)

Perhaps it's just me, but I always feel silly listing other countries I have romanticized ideals of. In my head I've built these places up to be magnificent destinations where cultural immersion is an escape, but then it hits me that people live there everyday and probably feel the same way I do about other countries. It's mind-blowing.

Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and any other such sane places that don't have such a disparity of wealth and the creepy amounts of greed, religious conservatism and gun violence as the US.

The U.S. (variety, variety, variety), Canada, Italy, France, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Brazil, and Argentina. Can't speak for Australia and New Zealand because I have not yet been, but want to go.

For me, it's not in the slightest bit about ideologies, but all about places to see, food to eat, and things to do. Also, none of the countries I like, except the U.S., are that stuffy. Some of them are pretty whacky and "live and let live."

I currently live in the U.S. which isn't bad, but if I decided to live anywhere else, there are 3 countries I would consider.

    1. Germany is a great country, with a lot to offer and are more advanced and accepting of the LGBT community. It's also one of the most peaceful countries.

    2. Japan would always be a fun and amazing place to go, but im not so sure about living there, because with as much as they have to offer, they can also be very confirmative instead of allowing individual expression and traditional in regards to the LGBT community and relationships in general.

    3. I would love to go to Italy, but the majority of people there tend to be against the LGBT community, and they also tend to be very religious. It's really disappointing for such a beautiful country to be such an intolerant and non-understanding place. I hope that by the time I actually do travel to other countries, that Italy will be a much better place, but with the church there, I really doubt it.

No. That was not a joke. In fact, anywhere but earth would do.

Somewhere with a lot of Asians that accepts transgender people. How about Singapore or Thailand? Maybe Hong Kong, or Taiwan?

I'd say it's a toss up between the Azores Islands, France, Germany or Italy. I've been to the first one and it's really nice there. The temperature is nice and there is a very relaxed feeling there, and it fit perfectly with my future career which allows work pretty much anywhere.

Is there a Sweden* for extroverts?

Scotland's not too bad either. Or French Canada*. Or Austria. Or the French Alps.

*Not actually been here so I probably don't know what I'm talking about.
