What is your job?

Currently working for a U.S. representative/public opinion polling for my university, and I'm majoring in political science and communication.

 

I am a Clinical Counselor pro bono until license is complete and be paid for it

Otherwise I work a dispatch job for 911

Man I cannot wait to finish this license process

Currently unemployed, but I was hoping to get a seasonal job at a Halloween store and for a while, I was considering making a living as a Internet reviewer/critic.

As of now, I'm hoping to work somewhere in the entertainment industry as a screenwriter or a director.

 

I'm not in an official job for now, but I was helping to build a couple of forums and websites. I might take it up permanently, if I get the chance to.

I verify medical insurance and also do maintenance. Really low hours so looking for other jobs; probably start working at McDonald's.

 

Semi retired metal trades. Self employed since '83. It's been very rewarding and I enjoy a good reputation and respect among my peers. We rarely do the same thing twice. Every new project presents new challenges. Part of me wants to be fully retired but as long as our customers still want to do business with us and I'm healthy enough to keep at it no sense in walking away from the income. Besides daytime TV really suks.

 

I am a ski instructor in the winter.

 

I'm working as a software engineer in my company's performance algorithms group (basically, we make things run fast). It has its ups and downs, certainly, but I get along well with my coworkers, the work is satisfyingly challenging, the office atmosphere is casual and friendly, and the pay is very competitive. I'm quite happy with it and I don't see myself looking for another job any time soon.

 

I work as a full-time customer liaison for a locally owned petroleum distribution company.

Basically it's a gas station. :dry: I like certain parts of my job, but mostly it's just getting by. I've been there for almost a year, which is one of the longer commitments I've made in my life. Recently though some of the nonsense has really irritated me.

 

Datawarehouse ETL Designer/Architect.

I design and oversee development and implementation of codes to extract and transform data from one system to another. Its like puzzles for systems.
I guess i just coordinate high level designs with the solutions architect/CIO/VP or whoever is in charge to cover every source and target and plan/oversee the teams and managers needed for each step of the SDLC.
Yeah..that's what I do and I absolutely love it. I just hate the paperwork and doucmentation but I love what i do because that digging in and building something from nothing is amazing. Turning raw data into something useful and working with business and developing solutions. I'm a sucker for anything challenging.

I'm a nursing student/library page (I also work reference desk. Woohoo.). I do some freelance sewing. Ideally, I would still be doing theatre and writing all the time.
