I kinda saw that coming. I hate speaking in public, I'm insecure and I feel uncomfortable around strangers and even acquaintances. It's getting better though (or at least I think it is).

    "28(fear) + 20(avoidance) = 48

You do not suffer from social anxiety"

Seems a bit off considering how I most likely have a least moderate social anxiety

I only put 'severe' for "Acting, performing, or speaking in front of an audience", but I've done that multiple times in the last few months and nothing went drastically wrong.

I have no idea when all this changed. My flatmate exclaimed the other day 'oh you're the loudest person ever! How can you just talk to anyone?!' and she's not really seen me when I'm shy, but I guess she's right sometimes! I really don't come across as co-ordinated/in control tho. My head's always in the clouds.

Not much of a shock, though.

I scored 81 but some of my answers were borderline.

    The scoring scale:
    55-65 Moderate social phobia
    65-80 Marked social phobia
    80-95 Severe social phobia
Greater than 95 - Very severe social phobia

Got a 36. Not sure if that's too accurate since I tend to become very unattached when confronted with a large, unfamiliar crowd. Like when I was at an airport around Christmas, I was apparently making some man mad because I was nearly walking into him and his family, but I didn't even notice anything because I was solely focused upon getting through security and out of the chaotic crowd. I tend to space out like that if I'm anywhere unfamiliar and feeling alone I suppose...

23 (fear) + 37 (avoidance) = 60. Moderate social phobia. Wow.... I'm doing better than I thought. It seems like, for the most part, social situations don't scare me. I just don't care for them. I might be downplaying some of it though, but I have been getting better.

I got an 82, which I'm actually surprised about.

I'm good at performing in front of people and making a jackass of myself, but when it comes to conversation, I get really flustered. Unless I already know someone, in which case I'm usually fine.

I got 20(fear) + 34(avoidance) = 54 which is one point below the threshold.. but I'm gonna go ahead an pick moderate anyway because I certainly wouldn't say I have no social anxiety.

You do not suffer from social anxiety.

I've improved a great deal recently. I don't like the scaling; I'd get a bit higher if it were "discomfort". I also avoid some of things out of politeness rather than fear.

Slightly better than I expected, but when I think about it I often surprise myself with how well I function in social situations these days.

    My score was 32(fear) + 36(avoidance) = 68 = Marked social phobia

It seems like I am overcoming my social anxiety slowly, but surely. If I would have taken this test years go, I'm sure my score would have been much higher (95+.) Not only that I think it depends on the day when my anxiety is at its peck.
