Hi EC, It's your boi Alex comming at you again but this time it is in celebration of Father's day. I am not soo big on terms with my dad, so don't worry if your not on solid grounds with ur father as well. However, here is a chance to pay tribbute to the person who brought you on this earth and made you, blessed our blessed EC family possible. I have created tis thread in hopes of getting fresh ideas for Father's day gifts, card designs, props, poem and more. I am not a great giver in "kind" but a excellent in words; lets help each other make this a Happy Fathe's day this 2k8. ^^ Love, Alex.(&&&)
ok, so i will start off... my tip to all u guys is to create a budget; and buy gifts that are inexpensive, with high values i guess someone smart will be able to identify such a gift >.<
Well, my Dad's a big Weller fan, so I'm getting my Breeder of a Father the new Paul Weller CD. Happy Father's day to.... Jim on EC, who I know has kids and... does Bromptonrocks have kids? Ach, here I am displaying my terrible knowledge of fathers on EC, so happy father's day to all the Dad's here on EC!
Since my dad passed away in 2003, Although it isn't actually Fathers day yet, still, Happy Fathers day to those fathers on EC ^^
I think Mothers Day and Fathers Day tend to vary in time around the globe. I know Mothers Day is in May in Aus - and in March (I think?) in the UK. Fathers Day is in Sept in Aus... Moot point for me tho' - both my parents are gone...
I usually get mine a gift card for tools or something but this year I may make him some sugar-free cookies something. (so he won't feel so bad about his diabetes!)
...I'm not on the best terms with my dad either...Haven't been for years, but I don't really care. To be nice I'm going to get him a card and a t-shirt he likes, because I seriously have no idea what else to get him.
tools  he sounds like an active person ^^ sugar free-low calorie cookies would be really nice. Your best bet...oatmeal! *yummy* PS-Musicgirl, i am really sorry to hear that. I hope dispite the odds you stay strong and focused.(*hug*)
I bought my dad a war game for PS3 using some of my Game Stop money I've been saving for Wii Fit. I wish that store would get it in...My dad and I have not been on the best of terms lately but he's trying to do better and has been depressed so I decided to get him the game :icon_bigg
Thanks Holly! I certainly do have two beautiful little girls. I have yet to get my own dad anything... but I'll be sure to get a card and perhaps a gift card from his favourite sporting goods store. He's an avid fisherman - so is always looking to get the latest and greatest lure.
I was gonna get him a hoodie from BMW F1 Team that I found at Puma store...but I'm so broke now, I'll have to fill my stomach with water if I bought that for him:icon_sad:
