I am sooo scared...

I've never left the continent yet, and I've never been out of the country without at least two family members/teachers around, in the past.

In addition to this, I'm a nervous flyer, having made two return journeys of two hours each in my entire life.

Oh, and I've never spent more than a couple of weeks away from my parents.

So, on Wednesday, I'm going to America on a eight hour flight. For three months.

Ok.. i know i love flying.. but theres nothing dangerous about it.. i think i have been on a big jet like 20 times, and in a glider 90 times, nothing ever happened.

I'm not a great flier myself (my own wings notwithstanding). I usually get nervous during takeoff and landing. I force myself to focus on other things during those times. I try to find a really good book or interesting article to read, and totally immerse myself in that until I'm either airborne or safely on the ground.

And America kicks butt. You'll see.

You type this as I'm packing my Sam-E for tomorrow's flight. Seriously, the big planes don't bother me its that trip to Seattle on the 16 passenger that gets me nervous. You might go to the health food store and see if they have a similiar supplement to help calm you down. Louise uses something similiar in stressful situations.

Although I don't mind flying I do get nervous from time to time, especially when it gets bumpy. To pass the time (especially on long flights) I read a good book or a magazine and listen to music.

Sometimes, when I have a long flight with a number of connections ahead of me, I will get a natural rescue remedy spray to reduce stress, which you can get in any health food store.

i'm going to costa rica next summer and i'm a little nervous to but i'm sure everything will be fine. my thing isn't the plan though its just the fact of being THAT high lol. if they flew low i'd be fine haha

I'm going to be a camp counselor. And maybe I will, but I'm aiming myself at a certain Torontonian as it is... luckily, my visa lasts until well into September, and allows me to cross the border into Canada.

Hey, cool! I decided a few months ago that I'm going to Costa Rica and Nepal in the next five years.
