Same Sex School Date (in school or at a dance)

Who here has had a same sex date in school? Walking with them, holding hands?

or who has brought a same sex date to a school dance, function or prom?

what were the reactions of people? did the school admin take any sorts of precautions?

what was your overall experience?

I live in a very conservative area, and I am also 5 years older than you, but I never took a girl to prom or anything like that. My girlfriend (whom I recently broke up with) and I would go to bars and dance together, however. We usually were surrounded by friends so somewhat hidden from others, but we would never kiss in public. When we visted bigger, more liberal areas however, her hand was always in mine. :-) At our college we went to some functions together, but few really knew we were together.

There is a lesbian couple now at my old high school, and as I said, I live in a conservative area, so they were banned from going together to prom. So they went as the dates of a gay guy couple. Everyone knew who was really dating, and they danced with their partners at the dance. I heard it was adorable. :-)

Well I've had a boyfriend, actually just broke up, but I dont think I would take them at a school function as a date. A friend yes, but not as a date, I'm not ready to let it out.

I didn't, because I didn't graduate that year, but my friend took her then fiancee (current wife) with her to several dances and Grad.

I didn't really have a 'date', per se. But I did dance with a guy and we had something... Halfway through we were like, "We're totally each other's date." xD

A friend of mine decided to go back and finish up his high school and he's finally going to be graduating. He's gay and he wanted to take a guy to his grad. He asked me to go! We're still only just friends but it'll be interesting to see what his classmates think.

I definately would. I've had a crush that was definatel into me too, and we used to cuddle and hold hands in school. But she moved. >.< So i never got the chance. However, there is one lesbian couple at my school and they're not afraid to hold hands and put their arms around each other during school..

On another note, I've heard stories of same-sex couples getting thrown out of school functions by our administration, but I haven't witnessed any.

So, if I had a girlfriend and she was willing to be a PDA whore like myself, I'd definately go to a school dance with her and dance the night away...or at least until we got bored or something.

I did, but it was kind of a joke. My friend/crush and I went as each other's "date" to a school dance because it was cheaper. When we bought the tickets, we held hands And the super-religious ticket-seller stared at us for such a long time...it was hilarious! But I wish that it had been a real date...*sigh*

At my friends birthday party, I had straight girls all over me. It was one big orgy train. I felt like a pimp...

I'm usually A) too afraid to join in the orgy fest B) wouldn't have an orgy with the girls in the orgy fest (all of my crushes are too timid to join in or they just don't come to dances) or C) I create an orgy fest of my own

I've never had a girlfriend either but if I did, I might go to a dance with her, depending on much I was willing to do for her and how many people would be there. I really don't like social situations so it wouldn't be the fact that we'd be a gay couple that would deter me.
