Wellllll my boyfriend got drunk for the first time right now ... He even texted me "I csnt ecen tbmidnk". Since it's the first time I'm just a bit afraid for some reason, I don't want him to do something really stupid lol... Is it normal to be a bit scared? And how can I make sure he stays alright?

Im wary to reply to this, because i myself drink very large amounts of alcohol every week.

Basically, the general things to remember when someone is drunk, is they will say things they dont mean. Everything is blown out of proportion, and you just have to bear in mind he may not know what hes saying.

Regarding his safety, there is nothing you can do. You have to trust him, and trust his friends. I presume hes with a group, and if he has gotten drunk he must trust this group to look after him if things go wrong.

Dont be too worried about the scrambled text, i used to do that, but grew out of it, didnt mean i was any less or more drunk, its just a sign of inexperience with texting whilst drunk.

Haha don't worry about it, people get drunk all the time. He'll be fine.

The biggest worry is if he is still drinking. He sounds pretty drunk already, and more can do damage. Driving is right out. It would be a stupid idea on a fraction of what he sounds like he has had. Maybe call him and keep him too distracted to drink more. Statistically, he should be fine so long as he doesn't try to drive or anything and doesn't black out from drinking.

presuming he is not driving it is OK

I am hoping he did not do it to bury anything, he is just celebrating a Holiday?

if this is the case he probably just is having fun and got out of control and all you have to worry about is he is going to feel terrible - he is going to say silly things and stuff but it is not areal problem

Just an observation, the british attitude to alcohol is very different to the american one in this thread

Hell probably drink for a while longer, get fresh air and spew then go home. Usual story for new drinkers. Tell him to drink plenty water and hell thank you for it in the morning!

I've always wanted to do this to people who were drunk the night before -

I've got the hat and boots sorted but am having trouble sourcing the proper air horn.

Actually he is home lol... His mom allowed him a shot, then he wanted to try more, and more... xD He's with family and certainly not driving. ALSO BE ADVISED HE'S ONLY 17 AND IS UNDERAGE xD he's not use to it all, that's primarily why I'm worried.

Haha yeah. I just hope he isn't going overboard. It certainly seems like his mother isn't being the best influential person for allowing him to drink so much lol He stopped responding to my texts a while ago, I hope he isn't passed out on the floor either xD He seemed to be havin lots of fun

I wouldn't worry too much since he is with family. If they are responsible, they will know when to cut him off and will take care of him.

Hopefully, he will lay down some where and sleep it off. Then he will get such a massive hangover that he never wants to drink again.

I'm just afraid he will like it too much... And then become rather addicted to drinking :/

As a college student being around college students, a few of my friends say that breakfast foods are the best cure for hangovers.

The only cure for a hangover is more alcohol...

Apart from that, plenty sleep, water, and i find pizza good
