People assume that just because im gay im going to hate any film involving straight love

  2. True - I get Netflix - may people think all of my saved stuff would be in LGBT or that stuff , I looked at it about 2% is

the rest of it is all over the map and a whole lot of it is romance & drama and if it is that means it has to be straight people getting together

I just love happy movies that is all

Well it´s kinda logic, because a lot of straight people don´t really appreciate gay love in movies. I mean when it comes down to intimacy.

So I do understand where the assumption comes from.

I think it depends on how they look at gay movies...

Yeah I guess some people would judge quickly, my mother on the other hand is straight and I showed her Brokeback Mountain and she loved it. She thinks it's horrible how their treated and quite found of them actually. =)

Gotta say, I've never heard of that assumption before.. I mean I can understand one who is LGBT may watch more LGBT oriented movies than say, a straight person would, but I don't think they would generally not like an average movie that involved a straight couple?

As for me? I tend to stay around the Thriller, Horror, Suspense, Drama end of the spectrum. Nothing makes me feel good and comfy like a good scare.

That would really limit the number of movies we would want to watch.
