So, IRL, I am known for my untraditional hair colours. A few months ago, I went green, which was my all time favourite, but I was unable to find any permanent dye, and semi-permanent didn't last long enough, and kept coming out in the shower. Does anyone know of a way I can get some permanent green dye?

Second question: I now have red hair. It is that darkish red, not ginger, and its alright, but I really want primary red, and once again, I can't find it in permanent. Would it be safe and successful to mix together box of red and blonde, to make it lighter?

I'm a huge fan of bright and fun hair colors!

I always used to have good luck with Manic Panic...I think it's available in the UK, it was pretty easy to find here. Now, I suppose one can order it. But they have a good range of brighter colors.

Unfortunately generally the brightest colors are Semi Permanent. However for a bright red, I believe Majicontrast by Loreal Paris is permanent and very bright.

For crazier colors like green, I would try Special Effects brand. It's semi-permanent but it's supposed to be super long lasting and bright. This might sound weird, but I always sleep with my semi permanent dye in my hair (with a bag on my head, lol). It's not harmful and it really helps the color last allot longer. I love Splat brand for their Pink, Red, and blue (not fond of purple, haven't tried green), but you have to leave it in for at least a few hours. When you do it lasts really really well.

Get it done at by professionals, and ask what they're able to do. I've seen attempts at home go wrong when a friend's friend tried to dye her hair blue after it was pink. The memory is still haunting.

Manic Panic is really only good if you bleach first then dye. Anytime I've used it, it washes out pretty quickly. Then again, I've yet to find a color of theirs that didn't immediately turn green.

    Red hair ftl.

I just died my hair purple last week and it is already coming out so if you want it to last I don't recommend purple manic panic

  12. fudge paintbox have a red colour idk if its permanant or not though.

a few years ago my hair was red and i used some red dye by country colors or sometning it was only around £3 from a shop called semi chem but lasted forever, but i would bleach it first if you want it bright as mine turned out burgandy-ish which i wanted anyway but yeah.

Directions is the best for bright unnatural colours I think.

I have had bright red, turquoise, purple, black, blonde and silver. I usually just dye my hair black now though.

When it comes to long lasting hair dyes, it really depends on your hair. I use Manic Panic and it lasts longest in my hair, but I know people who have had success with other dyes. These are all semi-permanent dyes, though, I'm not sure if there are permanent non-natural looking colours from a store. I think you'd have to go to a salon.

I don't know if it would be successful to mix red and blonde, you may want to leave that to a pro for that.

I've used Manic Panic for about a year and a half and I don't care for it because it doesn't last long for me. It would get annoying have to re-touch it so much.

Recently, I've used Splat and I've been really pleased. I think I dyed my hair blue in April or so and even now, there are very small, minor splotches of it left (after I cut my hair). If you're looking for permanent, the closest you might get is Splat (if we're talking about lasting effects). They have about 11 colors in their kit line-up and they recently added a lot of others for their singles which look badass.

I would dye mine, just in the name of pissing off my father.

I always wanted a red bang on my head, or a dark blue one. Of course, it would have to be able to remove it easily for reenactments.
