I can't shake the feeling that I'm going to be alone for the rest of my life. I had a very vivid dream last night where I wasn't, then felt like shit when I woke up and looked to my left to realize it was not real :frowning2:

Me too!!!! It just seems so far fetched that I'll ever be in a relationship! I'm lucky I'm don't struggle socially but seriously, when the shit does it happen in life? How do people get married in their 20's!? How the hell do they meet them!!!

I've only met a few LGBT people and the only one single kept avoiding saying that he wanted someone prettier than me... :frowning2: Things are so much easier for straight people when it comes to finding someone.

I try not to think about it too much, but it would be nice to have a significant other.

Had a dream like that too once. I was in bed cuddling with some guy that I could tell my dream self was madly in love with. Then I woke up with no one next to me and was really sad.

Yep. It's hard enough just to find people who are LGBT, let alone anyone who would like me.

Practically speaking i dont think i want a boyfriend yet, since i haven't figured my life so far and i dont have a stable profession as i'm still financially dependent on my parents. But once i figure that all out, I would love to have a partner! Although at times i cry in sleep craving for company and in dreams...

In all honestly stop thinking about it and keep busy with your life. I did that and I did find the love of my life.

That's how I see it. Keep doing what I'm doing and whatever happens happens.

I want one too. But please don't wait until you are 45. I just came to the realization I don't want to be alone. There was a time I thought I could handle being alone, now I feel it may be too late.

I really want a significant other. I don't men in a few years when I'm older or some shit, I want to feel significant now. I want those moments where we touch hands in the hallway and they smile at me when we pass. And whenever we get the chance we hang out together and walk in downtown together and walk and kiss down the sidewalk.
But I hate knowing that no person in my school likes me or will ever consider that levl of acquaintance.

I'm nearly 18, out to only one person and know barely anyone, let alone gay people. SO while I'm not in any position to necessarily get a boyfriend yet, I want one desperately. I'm really terriffied of dying alone. The best I can do really is just that someday it'll happen to me and happen to you and when it does it'll be the best.

Don't go looking for someone to be your boyfriend. Live life looking towards your own goals, and meet someone along the way whom you share interests with. Looking for a boyfriend isn't healthy. Finding one after a genuine appeal is.

A friendship should develop into a romantic relationship; don't fabricate something that won't be nearly as fulfilling.

Read Owen's amazing advice. It's great stuff, and is immensely helpful in making yourself feel better about yourself because you need to love yourself to be happy.
