During a pleasant dinner with my family, sitting outside on the new patio, and eating my favorite meal (Salmon, rice, broccoli and salad), my dad decides to interject into a conversation about how spinach is a good source of iron and exclaims "We need to move out of California."

My mom and I both glance at each other with looks of dismay, and humor him. "Why?"
"Because the FAGS are all moving here."
Again humoring, "Why?"
"Because they can get married here."
Getting extremely annoyed, I ask "where do you plan on moving to?"
"I don't know, Idaho."
"and why's that?
"Because that's where all the white people are, and there's no fags."
"Why don't you move to Kentucky? There's plenty of people like you there."
"Like me, how?"
"Bigots" (I was referring to his racism, I call him out on it all the time)
He scoffs and continues on his heathen homo hating speech
"California will be wiped clean from the Earth"
Again, humoring, "Why?"
"It's like Sodom and Gomorrah"
"Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed for not being hospital, kind people."
"Like hell, they were destroyed for being fags!"
At this, I decided conclude my pleasant dinner, and left.

Read your bible Martin! If I tell you I will probably get it wrong but sodom and gomorrah get thrown about because that is where the words sodomy and sodomite come from.

Going way back to my R E classes *searches in her memory banks* sodom were two towns next to each other, sodom for sure was a very decadent town where all forms of sexual practices were accepted, especially the homosexual act. For some reason, and lack of hospitality does ring a bell there, God wiped these towns off the face of the earth. Popular belief today for people who don't know their bible is that god zapped these towns because they allowed homosexual acts!

There endeth the very bizarre RE lesson for the day. Any religious people out there please feel free to correct my version of the bible.

I've never done any religous study, so this is just what I remember from reading these boards and whatnot. I think some people went to the house of Sodom and Gonnorah and then Sodom allowed his men to rape the visitors, even though the visitors protested. So God got real mad and smote Sodom and Gonnorah. I might be completely wrong, so more research may need to be done

That sucks, it really does.

When he said "fags" I probably would have said "oh god, don't tell me the cigarettes are coming!!!".

I use that arguement whenever someone says fag because of the entire 'fag being slang for cigarette' thing. It works and shuts people up. They don't even have a chance to launch into the Bible arguements.
